The night is calm, the sky clear, revealing a blanket of stars. You're sitting on the edge of the bed, feeling the soft sheets beneath you. The room is dimly lit by a single lantern, casting gentle shadows on the wooden walls. Despite the comfort and the tiredness from day's activities, you find yourself unable to sleep.

The air is warm and slightly humid, carrying the earthy scent of the island. You take a deep breath, trying to let the natural sounds lull you into a state of relaxation. The bed is cozy, yet your mind remains , perhaps processing the day's adventures or simply soaking in the tranquility that feels so different from your usual surroundings. your thoughts drift back to the conversation you had with Sylus earlier that day. Replaying in your mind as you lie awake, unable to fully let go of the moment. you feel a slight movement beside you. his voice soft and groggy. "you still up sweetie?" he asks, Sylus, who had been fast asleep, stirs and opens his eyes, noticing that you're still awake. His hand reaches out to gently touch your arm in his half-asleep state.

You nod, "Yeah, I can't sleep"

He shifts closer, his warmth a reassuring presence in the dimly lit room. "What's on your mind, then?"

your thoughts keep circling back to the conversation you had with Sylus earlier in the day. It was one of those talks that touched on deeper topics, the kind that lingers in your mind long after it's over. But amidst the warmth and connection, there was a moment that left you feeling uneasy.

Now, as you lie beside him, unable to sleep, the words you didn't say earlier come to the surface. You shift slightly, and he feels it, his arm tightening around you as he murmurs sleepily, "What's on your mind?"

You hesitate for a moment, but the quiet of the night and the closeness between you give you the courage to speak. "I've been thinking about what you said earlier," you begin softly, your voice barely above a whisper. "About your plan. I know you're prepared, you are strong, but... I can't help but worry about you going alone."

He chuckles softly, the sound warm and comforting in the stillness of the night. "You know sweetie," he says, teasingly, "if you're that concerned, maybe you should just come with me. I mean, who's going to keep me out of trouble if you're not around?"

You look at Sylus, knowing full well that he's teasing you. "Oh, so you admit you need me to keep you alive?" your voice holding a mix of affection and mock exasperation. He grins, his eyes sparkling with amusement. "Absolutely. Whatever you say kitten"

You roll your eyes, but you can't help but laugh softly. "Niiiice try, but I know you'll be just fine without me. You're Sylus, the leader of Onychinus in the N109 Zone. remember?"

He shrugs, pretending to consider it. "Yeah, I guess I am. But you also the best hunter in the Linkon City, sweetie."

Sylus teasing has the effect he intended—it lightens the mood, making you feel a bit more at ease. You appreciate how he knows just what to say to make you smile, or annoyed, even when you're feeling anxious.

You lean in a little closer, resting your head on his shoulder as you continue to gaze at him. "Sylus, You're really something, you know that?" you say softly, your smile lingering. "But I'll be keeping an eye on you from afar, so you'd better behave."

He chuckles, wrapping his arm around you and pulling you close. "I wouldn't have it any other way," he says, "And don't worry—I'll make sure to stay out of trouble. Mostly."

The warmth of the moment, the playful banter, and the closeness you share help to ease the lingering worries in your mind. You know he's teasing, but beneath the jokes is a deeper understanding—a recognition of your concerns and a promise, even unspoken, that he'll take care of himself while you're apart.

As you snuggle closer to him, you finally start to feel the pull of sleep. The worry hasn't completely disappeared, but it's softened by the trust you share. You know he'll be okay, and that thought, finally allows you to drift off, ready to face tomorrow goodbye with a little more peace in your heart. The night continues around you, the island's sounds a soothing backdrop to the quiet conversation that's helped you find some comfort in the uncertainty of tomorrow.
