I was watching heartstopper and rotting in my bed when Nick called.

I don't really wanna answer,so I just let it ring.

He calls again.

I sigh and pick up my phone.
I bring the phone to my ear.

"Hello?" I say in a briefly annoyed tone.

"Hi! Do you wanna come to a drive-in movie with me tonight??"

I sigh again.
"...what movie?"

"Twister and twisters!"
I can hear the smile in his voice. God.

"Fine."
I am now regretting saying yes.

"Okay!..I'll pick you up at eight!"

"Kay."

"Bye!"

"Mhm."

I hang up the phone and look at the time.

7:02

I sit in my bed for another minute and get up.

I walk over to my bathroom and turn on the light.
I then turn on the water.
Cold showers are the best,so I turn on the cold water and just a tad bit of hot water.

(Time skip or smth)

I get out of the shower and dry off.
I wrap the towel around my waist and walk back into my room.

I go to my closet and look at my shirt options.

I pick a black,sleeveless shirt.

I then pick up a pair of camouflage cargo pants off of my floor.

I then proceed to smell the pants to make sure they smell okay,which they do.

I put then on the pants and shirt,and a random bracelet my friend,Conner,gave me.

I look at my phone,and it reads

7:59

I turn it off and toss it on my bed.

I walk to the bathroom, brush my teeth,then attempt to style black hair.

I've always kind of despised the color of my hair,but Nick says my hair looks nice,so that helps a little bit.

I sigh and walk back over to my bed.

I've always kind of had a small crush on Nick over the 5 years we've been friends, but this year it's gotten worse.
He's my best friend,so it would be kinda weird if I told him.

Like,bro is just so kind,pretty,has good humor-well...not really.

I think he knows I'm gay,and I'm pretty sure he doesn't care,so that's cool.

But I think he's straight,because he's had a large amount of girlfriends over the years.

I mean,he could be bisexual.he does seem like he has kissed a few men and enjoyed it.

I then hear his annoyingly loud car pull up in my driveway.

I get up,grab my phone and headphones,grab a bag, walk to the kitchen and put some water and snacks that me and Nick like into the bag.

I the walk out of the house,lock it up and turn to see Nicks red car.

He smiles and waves when he sees me.
I give him a half smile and a small wave.

I walk over to his car and climb into the passenger seat.

"Hi!"He says.

"Hello."I say as I set the bag of stuff down.

He looks at the bag
"Oooo,did you bring snacks??"

"And water."I take out one of the bottles and open it and take a sip.

He smiles even more "Yippee!"

"Glad I could make you happy."

I really don't wanna sit in silence or be rude by having my headphones on.

"...could you play some music?"

"Sure! What do you wanna listen to??"
Why is he always so,so cheery..?

"Uh..just play a playlist of yours,I guess."

"Alright."
The song 'AHHHH!' by 'teen Jesus and the Jean teasers' starts to play.

I haven't heard this song before,but it sounds good.
Nick has always had a good music taste.
He's actually the one who got me into the music I listen to now.
