Kairen's POV'

I was deep in thought, staring out the window of my office, when my father burst in without knocking. I knew that look on his face all too well. He was here to try and change my mind.

"Dad, what's this about?" I asked, already knowing the answer.

"Kairen, come on. Don't be stubborn. You don't need to go to India for this project. You can handle everything from here," he said, his voice firm but laced with a hint of desperation.

I sighed, rubbing my temples. We'd had this argument countless times before. "Dad, I've told you. This project requires my personal touch. I need to be on the ground, ensuring every detail is perfect."

He scoffed, his expression disbelieving. "You're being reckless, Kairen. You have a team for a reason. Let them handle it."

I felt my frustration simmering just below the surface. Why couldn't he understand? This project was my chance to prove myself, to make a name for myself in the industry. I couldn't let him or anyone else jeopardize that.

"Dad, I've made up my mind. I'm going to India, and that's final," I said, my voice firm.

He stood up, his face red with anger. "Fine, Kairen. But don't say I didn't warn you."

I watched him storm out of my office, feeling a mix of emotions: frustration, anger, but also a sense of determination. I was going to make this project a success, no matter what.

Little did I know, my life was about to take a dramatic turn.

I leaned back in my chair, steepling my fingers as I contemplated my next move. The India project was my top priority, and I needed to ensure everything was perfect.

As I reviewed the files, my mind wandered to my father's words. "Don't say I didn't warn you." I pushed the thought aside, focusing on the task at hand.

I believed in one thing: human needs were purely physical. Emotions only complicated things. Love, attachment, compassion – all weaknesses. My corporation, Harrison Corporation, was built on this principle.

I made a few more notes, my mind racing with strategies and contingency plans. This project would be my legacy, my crowning achievement.

Just then, Rachel knocked on the door. "Kairen, your flight to India is confirmed. You leave tomorrow night."

I nodded, my focus already on the next step. "Good. I'll be ready."

As Rachel left, I stood up, gazing out the window. India, here I come. Bring it on.

As I packed my bags, my mind was already in India. I thought about the project's potential, the challenges we might face, and the team I would be working with.

My phone buzzed, breaking my concentration. It was a text from an unknown number: "Be careful in India. Not everyone is what they seem."

I frowned, deleting the message. Who was this? And what did they want?

I pushed the thought aside, focusing on the task at hand. I had a long flight ahead of me, and I needed to be prepared.

As I closed my suitcase, I felt a sense of excitement. This project was my chance to prove myself, to show the world what I was capable of.

I made my way to the airport, my mind racing with possibilities.

As I boarded the plane, I took my seat and gazed out the window. The city lights blurred together as we took off, and I felt a sense of liberation.

I was leaving my past behind, and embracing my future.

As the plane soared through the skies, I pulled out my laptop and began to review the project files. The Harrison Corporation was investing millions in this venture, and I needed to ensure every detail was perfect.

I scrolled through the documents, my eyes scanning the pages with precision. The India project was a luxury resort, catering to the elite and offering unparalleled service. It was a risky venture, but one that could pay off handsomely.

Just as I was about to drift off to sleep, the flight attendant approached me. "Mr. Harrison, can I get you anything to drink?"

I smiled, ordering a whiskey on the rocks. As I sipped my drink, I gazed out the window, watching the stars twinkle below.

My mind began to wander, thinking about the challenges ahead. The Indian market was unpredictable, and there were many factors that could go wrong.

But I wasn't one to shy away from risk. I thrived on it.

As the plane hit turbulence, I felt a jolt of adrenaline. This was it – the start of my journey.

The flight attendant returned, her voice soft. "Mr. Harrison, we're beginning our descent into Mumbai. Please fasten your seatbelt."

I nodded, my heart racing with anticipation. India, here I come.
