A/N
I was reading a book a few months ago and someone mentioned PercyxSelene. I wasn't sure about that pairing but after some research there are very few books that follow that premise. Without further ado, Moonlit Revelations.
Broken. After years of fighting, years of living I couldn't have just one minute of peace. One moment, she stood beside me. The next she sat lifeless on the ground; a spear through her stomach.
Annabeth and I walked through the shadowy alleyway. We were the only two people remaining on our quest. Jason and Piper were both killed in an explosion and Leo was struck by several arrows being rained down by Dracena.
We were tasked to find the location of a lost temple. Deep within the heart of Athens, we found a lead. Annabeth had interrogated a monster who had spilled some information.
"Are you ready?" She asked, nervousness shining in her eyes.
I pulled out my trusty pen, Riptide. "Ready as I'll ever be."
Annabeth nodded. She gently pushed open the door. The creak of the rusty hinges was a horrid sound.
As we walked in, no monsters stood to greet us. No immortal beings were defending the information we worked so hard to retrieve. Sitting on a table in front of us was a note and map.
The note read, 'The temple location can't be found by the demigods. If this information gets into the wrong hands, the overseer will decimate us all.'
Annabeth analyzed the map. Sitting there, right in front of us was the exact location of the temple. It couldn't have been more than a hundred miles away from us. "What's the easiest way to get there?" I asked.
Annabeth pondered my question. "We'll just have to take a train."
I glanced around the room. There didn't seem to be anything else that we could use. "The sooner we get there, the better."
She nodded at my words, "let's go."
Grabbing the map and stuffing it into her bag we walked briskly out of the room and back into the alleyway. It was still devoid of life.
Quickly leaving the alley we reappeared on the street, headed towards the nearest train station.

"Hurry Percy!" Annabeth hissed.
We trudged through the forest. A few hundred meters ahead, a large temple could be seen. With each step the temple got closer and closer, until we were walking up the steps.
Suddenly out of nowhere a spear came flying through a bush and it pierced Annabeth in the stomach. "NO!" I screamed at her lifeless form.
Suddenly a monster crept forward, brandishing a knife he lunged. Sidestepping his attack, I sliced through his form. A poof of golden dust littered the ground.
I rushed over to Annabeth. "Wise girl," I croaked out, through tears.
No response. Her body stayed still, unmoving. I looked inside the temple. A faint silver glow was being emitted from the center.
Taking a few steps in, I saw what we were supposed to retrieve. Sitting in the middle of a pyre was a sacrificial dagger.
I stepped forward and grasped it. Suddenly it disappeared. One would think that they lost it. I knew better. The gods had retrieved what they wanted.
I shuffled over to Annabeth's lifeless form. "Hey wise girl," I spoke hollowly.
Still no words came back. I picked her up and walked over to the pyre, placing her in the center.
