"So is he coming down here to help you move" Vana asked as she was helping me box up my stuff.

"Honestly Vana I don't even know. We had another conversation and it was just as bad as the last one." I sighed.

I told myself I wasn't gonna be doing this with no man. It's just something about Dave I can't help myself.

"Well you should tell mom about him just in case" Vana shrugged.

"Tell me about who?" My mom walked in asking.

I told her I needed to talk to her so we went in her room to talk.

"Okay so I met someone. His name is Dave, he's 27, he has his own tattoo business, and he has a daughter name Kairi." I spluttered out.

I couldn't really read my mom at this moment, her facial expressions wasn't giving anything off.

"Is this the young man you be on the phone with from time to time and constantly be arguing with?"

Damn. I thought I was being quiet.

I just nodded my head. "He's a good man ma. We just be having our differences and us being so far away from each other it's just hard right now-

"Where does he live?" She asked.

"New York"

"Invite him to stay for the weekend-

"But i'm moving like tomorrow" I reminded her. "Plus he wants me to meet his daughter and I don't know if I want-

"So you're undecided about this man because he has a child but you want him to meet me?" She asked confusedly.

I sighed. "I don't know at this point. I really like him, but I just don't know about him having a child. He kept it a secret and I'm not sure where him and his baby mother stand" I added.

"You're all over the place. I don't remember raising you like this. You need to figure yo shit out. Either you want him and what he comes with or not and you need to make a decision quickly. I'm not gonna judge the man because I don't know him." My mom said and got up and left.

I decided to grab my phone and call Dave.

"Wassup?" He answered.

"Are you busy? Can we talk?"

"I'm on my way to pick up Kairi" He bluntly replied.

"I told my mom about you" I muttered.

"For what? No point if-

"I want you to come out here for the weekend." I said. "Both of you" I added.

"Change of heart?"

"I really like you Dave and I'm willing to accept you with whatever you come with. I was just scared with meeting your daughter. That's huge Dave" I expressed.
