Rolf sat on the lawn with Anthony and Anthony's boyfriend, Terry Boot, shutting out the two of them being cute by turning down his hearing aids. He glared across the lawn at Neville Longbottom, who was paying a visit to Luna, who was what Rolf could only describe as heaven on Earth. A faint 'Rolf!', that was no doubt shouted at the top of one's lungs, got his attention to see Anthony signing at him about it being time to go.

Rolf got to his feet when he noticed his parents standing out in front of the doors. He walked across the lawn, turning up his hearing aids as he did.

"Rolf!" was heard coming toward him in a heavenly voice. He turned to Luna as she reached him and pulled him in a hug, "Something to keep your spirits up as best you can." she explained to him as she separated herself from him.

Rolf smiled and bowed his head, "Thank you. I appreciate that, Lunes."

Luna smiled and turned to rejoin Neville. Rolf turned around again and half-ran up to his parents. His mother, who was holding a coat he hadn't noticed from further away, draped it around his shoulders.

"Ich verstehe nicht warum dir nicht kalt ist, Rolf!" she said in concerned way.
(translate: I do not understand how you are not cold, Rolf!)

"Mama, mir geht es gut!" Rolf replied, in an annoyed loving way.
(translate: Mum, I'm fine!)

"We don't want you catching a cold!" his dad told him, "It's your brother's..."

Galton stopped his sentence at the mention of Rolf's older brother. Rolf bowed his head as he pulled the coat tight around his shoulders. He had been about to say it was his brother's first birthday posthumous. He walked with his parents to the headmistresses office.

Gunther died the previous year during the Battle of Hogwarts and, while everyone said it wasn't his fault, Rolf knew that if he had followed the rules and gone with the others who were under the age of seventeen, Gunther wouldn't have been where he had been.

They sat down in McGonagall's office as she got to her feet, "I'm terribly sorry for this weighted celebration." she pointed her wand at a cabinet to her left and summoned a small cake from it, "I hope this helps."

"Danke. Du bist sent nett." Sabrina said, solemnly.
(translate: Thank you. You are very kind)

"Thank you, professor." Rolf said to her, lazily signing with his words.

By the time Rolf and his parents were done with their melancholy celebration, the sun was setting, so Rolf bid them goodbye and made his way slowly to Ravenclaw tower. He walked up to the door, he waited for the riddle.

The brass eagle moved his head toward him and asked, "What is powerful but delicate that it breaks when you say its name?"

Rolf screwed up his face as he thought before he guessed, "Silence?"

The door swung open and he walked into the common room; all decked out in its blue and brass decor. He reached up behind his ears and removed his hearing aids and took them upstairs to place on his nightstand. Anthony was inside and Rolf noticed him say something, but didn't catch what he was saying cause he wasn't facing him.

He quickly looked at his friend and signed to him, What's up?

Anthony smiled in understanding and signed back, How was the celebration?

Rolf's smile faltered, but didn't fade, As melancholy as you'd expect.

You guys shouldn't have to go through this.

Rolf nodded, Yeah. I keep apologiz—

Hey! Anthony interrupted, What have we told you? His death isn't your fault! No one's deaths were caused by any one of the survivor's!

Rolf stated his hands before signing, Tony?

Anthony pulled his legs into a crossed position, Yeah?

Rolf breathed deeply, You think Gunther knows how much I miss him?

Anthony's expression saddened as he got his feet and crossed the room to wrap Rolf in an embrace. He pulled away just enough to sign back, Of course he knows.
