all katsuki bakugo wanted was for you to leave him alone.
it all started in the summer right before second grade. he had just moved into the house across the street from yours. his dad pulled into the driveway and the truck with all their belongings followed. you watched them from the curb of your driveway.
"c'mon katsuki. let's unload the truck and let your mom get started on dinner" the brunette said as he closed the door to the drivers seat. "alright?"
"okay, dad" he replied and followed behind him
unfortunately, it was the beginning of what would be more than half a decade of avoidance and social discomfort for him.
"hi. i'm y/n l/n." you said as you jumped into the back of the moving van.
"hey, hey, what are you doing?" the taller man said
"don't you want some help?" you turned to face him
"no. there are some valuable things in there."
"well, how about this one?" you pointed at another box.
"no, no, no" he walked closer to you. "why don't you run home? your mother is probably wondering where you are."
"oh that's fine. my mom knows where i am. she said it's fine" the blonde could only stare, no words leaving his mouth
it didn't take him very long to realize that you couldn't take a hint.
"it's a bit crowded in here. don't you think?" he continued to press "the three of us?"
"i don't mind."
"katsuki, isn't it time you go help your mother?" he said and he put a foot onto a box that you were trying to pick up.
"huh?" the blonde said as he stared at his father.
his father gave him a wink and he just left.
he was about to tell you to get lost but you followed after him and grabbed his shoulder. he flipped around and your hand slip down his arm, resulting in hand holding.
he couldn't believe it. there he was, THE katsuki bakugo, holding hands with some strange girl.
his mother walked outside from the front door with a friendly smile.
"well hello there" she was wearing a nice floral dress. "i see you've met my son"
"uh-huh" you said while not letting your grip falter.
he did the only thing he could think of. he ran and hid behind his mother. katsuki was only 7 years old, what else was he supposed to do? he didn't have much to say to girls.
you finished up the small conversation with his mother and ran home.
"new friend katsuki?" she smiled and walked inside with him.
"no way in hell ma!" he said and jumped onto the couch. "she's nothing but trouble!"
however, his troubles were far from over. when school started back up, katsuki was excited to meet new people to belittle. the minute he walked into his new class...
"katsuki?" you said with a smile. "you're here."
you ran up to him and gave him a hug.
that's when he realized, school would not be a sanctuary.
he walked into the cafeteria and got questioned by none other than izuku.
"hey, kacchan, where's your girlfriend?" he said with a small smirk.
