(Wrote this on AO3 and forgot to put it here. Probably one of the last things I'll be writing until my phone gets fixed.

What's this??? A new Miraculous Ladybug oneshot in 2024???

Yes, you read that correctly.

My opinions on Adrienette-and Marinette actually-have, uh...changed since I've been out of the fandom. I still like them though, I just don't love them as much as I used to. Just a reminder I've seen up to some point in season 2 so I'm not caught up (is it worth getting caught up?) but uh...wow they're together now??? That's cool ig.

I'm pretty sure I read in a comment somewhere or something that she gets better at being less obsessed later on, but...this is not later on.

Still haven't finished the movie yet but I love it so maybe I'll finish it today, we'll see.

Also plan on writing something Steven Universe (more specifically Spinel related) but I've only seen the movie so...it probably won't be that great.

This is really long and I'm sorry, I just haven't written for this fandom in like 5 years and have a lot of words to say and my ADHD brain likes going everywhere at once, so let's see if I can keep this oneshot understandable, shall we?)

'Another poster to add to the collection!'

Marinette had just finished putting up her newest poster of Adrien Agreste-yes, the Adrien Agreste-on her wall. He was promoting something or other, she wasn't paying attention when she bought it. Just it being Adrien was enough for her.

Tikki flew out of her bag. "Marinette, don't you think this is a bit...much?" She motioned around at the amount of Adrien...everywhere. Her screensaver on her computer, posters on the walls, and-"Is that a-"

"Limited edition Adrien plush? Absolutely!" Marinette squealed and picked it up, spinning around with it. "It's so soft and cuddly..."

The little kwami sighed. "Are you even listening? This seems a bit...obsessive?"

Marinette stopped spinning and fell onto her bed. "I meant to do that!"

Tikki rolled her eyes.

"Obsessive? No way. He's just the most handsome person ever! Oh, I should see if there's anything new on his schedule!"

'Yep, she's not listening...' Tikki flew back into her bag.

"Hi Adrien!"

"Uh...hey Marinette. Not that I don't mind adoring fans, but this was supposed to be a private photo shoot."

She nodded.

"Like...not for the public?"

She nodded again.

"As in...you need to leave?"

Marinette finally got the hint. "Oh, okay. Bye!" She headed off...and went behind a tree.

Adrien sighed. Really, he should've expected this, but just one time of her respecting his privacy would be great.

"Is this far enough?" She shouted, still behind the tree.

At school, Marinette was waiting in the bushes for Adrien to come out. When he finally did, however-

"Adrikins!"

He cringed and turned around to face Chloe. "Hi Chloe-"

"Did you not get my invitation? Or did you just not want to go?" She made a sad face, complete with puppy dog eyes.

"I'm sorry, but I'm busy that day-"

"Too busy to go to prom with me, of all people? How could you?" She stomped off.

Adrien turned back around and-oh Marinette was there. Again. She seemed pretty good at knowing where he was on all times. It's like she took tabs on him or something. "Can I help you?"

"I was...wondering...if, uh..."

Thankfully his car showed up, and he was a bit relieved. "Sorry, I have to go."

"Iwaswonderingifyouwantedtogooutwithme!" Marinette managed to get out, somehow.

Let's see, how does he put this nicely? "Look, you're an...interesting girl Marinette, but I'm just not interested." He stepped around her and headed to his car.

Marinette just stood there, frozen.

"Can you believe it Tikki? He rejected me! And after all the effort I put in-"

"I wonder why. Maybe it's because you were stalking him and making him uncomfortable?"

"I wasn't stalking him! We just go to a lot of similar places!"

"Marinette, that was a private photo shoot."

"But he let me stay the whole time."

"Did you think he wouldn't reject you? Boundaries, Marinette. They're important, and you shouldn't cross them."

"Boundaries?"

Tikki didn't want to deal with this right now, or ever. "How do you think he would feel coming into your room with his face practically everywhere in sight?"

"Uh..." She looked around. "It would feel kinda weird..."

"Exactly! And if he saw your calendar with all of his photo shoot dates on there, and his birthday, and other special occasions? Not to mention following him everywhere, wanting to be around him 24/7...see where I'm going with this?"

Hopefully she was getting through to her. Tikki headed inside Marinette''s bag.

"I just need to hide my stuff better!"

A loud groan came from inside her bag.

(You know, I was gonna have Marinette understand the consequences of her actions at the end there, but went "nope" so maybe I'll change it in the future and give this a better ending.

Jelly Marinette didn't make the cut, but maybe I'll put her here or use that idea somewhere else.

Where's Alya in all of this? I have no idea.
