[𝓨—/n] mulled over his earlier words. "I figured you'd be lonely if I didn't." The thought made her smile, even if it meant nothing to him.
Shinsou had joined her near the railing. He was close enough that their arms nearly brushed. "I would've been just fine without you," [Y/n] spoke. She was trying to play it cool. "But I suppose it's fine that you're here now."
He chuckled, a deep, rumbling sound. He could see through her facade, but he didn't call her out on it. Instead, he let her have it.
[Y/n] studied his face. His calm demeanor always made it hard to tell what he was thinking.
He noticed her scrutiny and raised an eyebrow. "Why are you trying to analyze me? Got some grand theory?"
She shrugged. "You're confusing. I can never quite tell what you're thinking." She then hesitated before asking the question that had been on her mind. "Did you really only come to keep my company? Because I know that's not the actual reason."
