DOUBLE UPDATEEEEEEE 😘😘😘.

The days that followed felt like a blur for Bri. She went through the motions of her daily routine at work, but her mind was somewhere else entirely. Every time she passed by Jus in the hallway, her heart would skip a beat, a mixture of excitement and dread twisting her insides. He was kind, patient, and understanding, never pushing her to talk about what happened between them, but always available if she wanted to. It was comforting, but it also left her feeling more alone with her thoughts.

Bri found herself spending more time with her younger sister, Dria. Though Dria was younger, she was Bri's go-to person for advice. Dria was sassy, unapologetically blunt, and always had a way of getting to the heart of the matter, whether Bri wanted her to or not.

One afternoon, after a particularly long and confusing day at work, Bri walked into their shared apartment to find Dria sprawled on the couch, scrolling through her phone. She looked up as Bri walked in, immediately sensing something was off.

"Okay, spill it," Dria said, not even bothering with a greeting. "You've been acting weird all week. What's up?"

Bri sighed, dropping her bag on the floor and kicking off her shoes. "I don't even know where to start."

"Well, start somewhere," Dria said, sitting up and giving her sister a pointed look. "You know I hate suspense."

Bri sat down next to her, running a hand through her hair. "Something happened with Jus."

Dria's eyebrows shot up. "Jus? As in your best friend Jus? The guy you've been pretending not to like for months?"

"I don't like him!" Bri protested, though the words felt hollow even as she said them. "It's not like that."

"Stop playin fam," Dria scoffed. "Ian dumb, Bri. You've been all over the place since you started hangin with him. So what happened? Did you finally make a move, or did he?"

Bri hesitated, her cheeks flushing. "We... we hooked up."

Dria was gagged. "Well, damn. Go, Bri! But wait, why do you look like someone just told you your favorite show got canceled? Was it that bad?"

"No, it wasn't bad," Bri said quickly, feeling the heat rise to her face. "That's the problem. It was... good. Really good. And now I'm completely freaking out because I've never been into guys before. I don't know what this means, and I can't stop thinking about it."

Dria rolled her eyes. "Girl, you are seriously overthinking this. So you hooked up with a guy and liked it. Big deal. Maybe you're bi, maybe you're curious, or maybe Jus is just really good at what he does."

Bri frowned. "But what if this changes everything? What if I'm not who I thought I was?"

Dria giggled. "Oh, biht be so frl. You're still you, Bri. Liking one guy doesn't mean you have to rewrite your entire identity. People are complicated. Sexuality is complicated. It doesn't have to fit into some neat little box."

Bri looked at her sister, feeling a mix of relief and frustration. "I just feel so lost right now."

Dria softened a bit, reaching over to nudge Bri's shoulder. "You're not lost, Bri. You're just exploring new territory. It's okay to be confused. But don't let it freak you out so much that you miss out on something that could be really good. Take it slow, figure it out as you go. And if you need to talk, I'm here."

Bri managed a small smile. "Thanks, Dria. I just... I needed to hear that."

"Of course you did," Dria said with a smirk. "That's why I'm here, to keep you from spiraling into one of your existential crises. Now, can we please talk about something fun? Like what you're going to wear when you see him next?"

Bri laughed, the tension in her chest easing a bit. She didn't have all the answers, but at least she knew she had her sister by her side, ready to sass her way through the confusion. And maybe, just maybe, that was enough for now.

This chapter was shorter but heyyyy , taking what I'm giving. You asked and I delivered.
