( recommended song: THE ARCHER BY TAYLOR SWIFT )Her heart pounded in her chest, each beat louder than the last. This was no coincidence. Whoever had sent that note at the rink wasn't done. They were following her, keeping tabs on her every move.
She looked around, eyes darting from one car to the next, scanning the shadows for any sign of movement. But the parking lot was empty, save for her own reflection staring back at her in the rearview mirror.
Jihyo knew she had to stay calm, to think rationally, but her thoughts were spiraling out of control. Who was behind this? And why were they targeting her?
There was only one person she could think of who might have answers, someone who had secrets of his own, secrets he kept locked away behind those cold, unfeeling eyes.
Suho je.
Without wasting another moment, she started the car and drove off, her mind racing as fast as her heart. She didn't know what was happening, or why she was suddenly thrust into the middle of something dangerous, but one thing was certain: she wasn't going to face it alone.
As the city blurred past her, one thought burned brightly in her mind—she needed to confront suho, to find out what he knew, before it was too late.
But deep down, a small voice whispered a chilling warning: whatever answers she found might just be the beginning of something far darker than she could imagine.
Jihyo's hands clenched the steering wheel as she navigated through the city's early morning traffic, her thoughts tangled in confusion and anxiety. The message from the unknown number replayed in her mind like a sinister echo.
"Watch your back, jihyo. Some ice is meant to break."
The words gnawed at her, their meaning elusive but threatening. Her thoughts kept circling back to suho. He was the only one who had access to her during her most vulnerable moments—on the ice. But could he really be behind something like this?
When she pulled into the rink's parking lot, she killed the engine and sat in silence, gathering the nerve to confront him. This wasn't how she had planned her morning, but she couldn't shake the feeling that suho knew more than he was letting on.
The rink was empty, its cold, sterile atmosphere amplifying her unease. The ice lay untouched, a stark, gleaming expanse that seemed to mock her turmoil. She spotted suho at the far end of the rink, standing rigid with his arms crossed, eyes fixed on the ice as if searching for something within its crystalline depths.
Jihyo approached him slowly, her footsteps muffled by the soft padding of the arena's floor. He didn't turn to acknowledge her presence, not even when she stopped beside him, her breath catching in the chilly air.
"I didn't expect to see you here so early," he said, his voice flat, devoid of any warmth. His eyes remained on the ice, his expression unreadable.
"I needed to talk to you," jihyo replied, trying to keep her voice steady. "Something's wrong."
Suho finally turned to look at her, his gaze cold and penetrating. "What is it now?" he asked, irritation creeping into his tone.
"There was a note left for me after practice this morning," she said, pulling the crumpled paper from her pocket. "And then a message on my phone... it was threatening."
He took the note from her without a word, his eyes scanning the message with a disinterested expression. When he finished reading, he handed it back to her with a dismissive shrug.
"And what exactly do you want me to do about it?" he asked, his voice dripping with impatience. "You're letting some coward's words get inside your head."
