We don't introduce Katy Perry anymore, the 2010's superstar known for I kissed a girl, firework, part of me, roar, and finally dark horse in 2013, makes polemic about her new song women's world.
Indeed, she was expecting her song to sign her comeback and reveal her new album. I guess we are not in 2010 anymore and the morals elvove.
So in this chapter I'm going to explain point by point why you should boycott Women's world and btw Katy Perry.
I ) The lyrics :
- "Sexy" : Guys I SWEAR the first word was the straw who broke the camel's back. Like, guys I'm crying idk how she expected her song to be feminist while sexualising women... WE ARE FIGHTING AGAINST SEXUALISATION KATY, but this isn't like you have a problem with SA anyway ? ( we are gonna talk about it later).
- "So intelligent" : Not even two words later I'm dying. When you have to say that it's because you questionned it in first place. It would have worked few years ago ... like in 1800...
The fact is that if it was a song about men you wouldn't say that.
- "She's a sister, she's a mother" : No but fr you can be pround of being a mother or a sister but she just pointed he patriarcat. She could say "doctor, astronom" idk which other shit ya know but no. In her song, the women exists in the society as a part of the man's family.
-"It's a woman's world" : WHITEEEEE FEMINISMMMMMMMM ARGH, but in which mtfckg planet does she lives ?! Talibans, Soudan, ouïgours, Palestine etc... I repeat... WHITE FEMINISM AND CAPITALISM, and I mentionned the extrems, i'm not talking about the gender inequality in like 98 % of the globe.
Most of all, CONGO, CONGO PLS OPEN YOUR EYES !
-"you're lucky to be livin' in it" : Oh hell yeah Katy I'm so lucky to have at least the right to go out without my husband, even tough I still harassed in the street, even tough a woman is raped every 15 seconds in the world and a man every 3 minutes, BUT YESSS I'M so lucky !! (None of us is a woman BUT YOU GET IT )
--"Open your eyes, just look around and you'll discover" : Discover what ? The silents genocides ? The women dying when their husband's fav team doesn't win their match ?
-"Feminine". Well... a woman is always feminine ofc.
-"Superhuman" : Oh they are not even considered as humans being by a lot of people and now they are better. Y'all are lucky that I don't have the skull emoji on computer because it would have been everywhere.
Maybe we seem to extreme for you but for us it looks like a positive discrimination, white feminism, invented peace...
In side of the fact that the lyrics are awful, the production is also incriminated.
II ) Guilties of sexual assault :
- The producer : The famous singer Kesha filed a complaint against Dr. Luke for civil harassment, violation of California's laws against unfair business practices, infliction of emotional distress (intentional and negligent), and negligent retention and supervision. Kesha alleged that he "sexually, physically, verbally and emotionally" abused her since the beginning of their professional relationship. The suit alleged he drugged and her on two occasions, made threats against Kesha and her family, and called her derogatory names.
The polemic last since a lot of years and everytime she stand by Luke's side, Katy Perry said in an interview with the Los Angeles Times : "It sucks when you know both of the players," she said, referring to Kesha and Dr. Luke. "I can only speak for my own experience, and my own experience, with Dr. Luke, was a healthy one. I believe in due process. And I also believe that only they know the truth."
- Katy Perry herself : On the occasion of the 9th anniversary of the clip "teenage dream, Josh Kloss, the model who acted on, says that during filming Katy Perry made him really uncomfortable. She invited him to a strip club in Santa Barbara on the FIRST day of collaboration. Josh declares to have refused, to rest. Then, forced to kiss in front of the camera, the singer would have described the kisses as "disgusting" on the set, in public.
Josh testified on instagram : " During a meeting, I brought a friend who dreamed of seeing her in real life. It was Johny Wujek's birthday party on a roller skating rink. When we met again, we hugged each other, it was always my favourite. But when I truned around to introduce her my friend, she pulled down my tracksuit and boxers as far as she could to show my penis to a group of male friends and crowd around us. Can you imagine how embarassed and pathetic I felt ?"
She responded : "I don't want to add to the noise. I want to add to the truth, basically." She didn't make a statement on the truth of the allegations, adding, "I don't comment on all the things that are said about me because if I chase that dragon, it would be about true and false-ing my whole life. It's distracting from the real movement."
And the worse for the end : "I think we live in a world where anyone can say anything"
She has already tried to kiss a russian TV host without his consent.
And we were to tired to do it but her husband also raped a 16 girl and were violent to his ex-wife.
