He said he wanted me to have something that was mine, something that would always remind me of him, no matter where I was or what I was doing."
IU's heart softened at the tenderness in his voice. "Uff, I never knew my boyfriend was this soft-hearted."
Yoongi chuckled, a deep, warm sound that made IU's smile widen. "Your boyfriend is more than you think," he teased.
Their eyes met, and the playful banter between them faded into a comfortable silence. But just as their lips were about to meet, the door to the room burst open with a loud thud.
Taehyung stood in the doorway, his wide eyes blinking rapidly as if he had just run a marathon. "IU noona! Ms. Miso is calling you. Cook uncle made your special milkshake for you" he blurted out all at once, his voice filled with excitement.
Yoongi groaned inwardly and rolled his eyes, while IU quickly pulled back, her face flushed with embarrassment. Taehyung, oblivious to the moment he had interrupted, continued with a grin. But then, noticing how close they had been sitting, his smile faltered.
"Uh... am I disturbing you both?" IU's blush deepened, and she let out a nervous laugh. "No, Tae, it's fine. I'll be right there."
Taehyung looked between the two, sensing that maybe, just maybe, he had walked in at the wrong time. "Okay... bbye Yoongs darling" he said slowly, backing out of the room. IU laugh on Tae's expression and Yoongi roll his eyes "I'll just... go now."As the door clicked shut behind him, Yoongi sighed and shook his head.
"That kid... always has the perfect timing.... cock blocker" IU giggled, the awkwardness of the moment melting away as she saw the playful annoyance on Yoongi's face.
"You were saying something about being more than I think?" she teased, leaning closer again.
Yoongi smirked, wrapping an arm around her waist. "I was, but it seems we have unfinished business with a milkshake first."
IU smiled, resting her head on his shoulder for a moment before they both got up to leave. The warmth of the moment lingered, leaving behind the promise of a kiss yet to come, and the memory of a conversation that brought them just a little closer together.
