When I came upon this contest, I asked a fellow member of the Elpida Community to write it with me. Even though I had stories up on Wattpad, joining Elpida (and opening a Discord account to join) was the actual start of making friends. The unbelievable part is that two months later, I now have several good friends that I found through Wattpad and Discord.

Anyway, when Raine and I read through the guidelines for how this contest would run, we developed a strategy that may seem outrageous but (unbelievably) worked.

Raine writes Mystery and Thriller, and I write Paranormal, Sci-Fi, and dark Drama. We picked a thriller prompt and wrote it in a genre that would differ from anything either of us has written before: Fantasy/Teen/YA.

Our plan was to continue the first prompt story into the second one, leaving the first on a cliffhanger. This would only happen if the second prompt worked within the storyline.

Since another team would choose the second prompt, we didn't get a say. We knew the teams would see our profiles and give us something we would have trouble writing.

We were stunned silent when we saw the second prompt chosen for us. The storyline could not have gone better if we had picked it out ourselves. We were speechless at how well it went together.

So, a big thank you to the team Brazen & Bees for the outstanding prompt that brought our story to its perfect conclusion.

Good luck to all the teams taking part in this wonderful contest!!
