"Sorry, sir" Neteyam spoke to his father. He and Lo'ak stood before their father after Jake found out they had been in a fight with Aonung and his friends.

"No, you need to stop taking the heat for this knucklehead." He faced the both now, "You should be glad his sister was there to stop it from escalating. Either of you could've gotten injured if it went on any longer."

Jake sent Lo'ak to apologize to Aonung, Neteyam staying behind.

"So, how'd the other guys look?"

"Worse." Neteyam smiled, proud of his fight before it had gotten interfered with, "A lot worse."

Jake left the marui pod, Neteyam now alone. As much as he wanted to think about the actual fight he had, he couldn't. All he saw in his mind when he closed his eyes was Ay'yeiva standing in front of him, he words repeating in his head, "It's my job, It's my job, It's my job"

As much as he wanted to dislike the girl, maybe there was a reason behind her behaviour.
