hyunjin was driving home, listening to the radio in the car, humming the melody of the song that was currently playing.

his day wasn't the best, and he was so excited to arrive home and spend the night with his boyfriend, watching some more episodes of the show they just started together.

he looked at the passenger seat, smiling when he saw the plastic bag with two boxes of take out sitting there.

"felix will be so happy."
hyunjin whispered to himself with a small smile, before chuckling and taking out his phone, writing a quick message to his boyfriend.

'I'm almost home, are you there yet?
I'm bringing take out for dinner :D'

the car ride was too long for hyunjins liking.
all he wanted to do was just kiss his boyfriend and have him in his arms, feeling his warmth that felt like home.
he knew that after a day like this, he needed it more then anything.

and finally.
he arrived.

taking the plastic bag, he walked inside the flat and rode the elevator, until finally, he reached his floor.

the take out was smelling so good, and hyunjin just couldn't wait to eat it, but when he inserted the key inside the keyhole, he felt a little confused when he realized the door was locked. he shrugged it off, not really thinking about it that much. felix was always locking the door when he went to take a nap, so that could be the case.

hyunjin unlocked the door and opened it. the lights were off, so he turned them on. the apartment was silent, a little too silent.

"felix?!"
hyunjin yelled.

he got no answer.

"maybe he's actually sleeping."
hyunjin whispered to himself, before he made his way into their bedroom.

what really made his heartbeat go up was the fact that felix wasn't there.

"felix?! where are you?!"
hyunjin yelled again.

he checked all the rooms, but felix was nowhere to be seen.

"is he still not home? but it's really late, he should be here."
hyunjin said to himself, growing a little worried.

tired, he rested his hands on the table.
and that's when he saw it.
an envelope.
with the name 'hyunjin' written on it.

hyunjin confusedly took the envelope and opened it, taking the paper that was inside.
a letter?

{ dear hyunjin, we have been together for two, very happy and beautiful years. one of the best years of my life. but nothing good lasts forever. I'm leaving Korea. forever. I won't be back, and I mean never. don't look for me, just forget that I exist and live your life to the fullest. by the time you're reading this, I'm probably already on the airplane. I'm breaking up with you. the key is under the doormat, I wanted to lock the door to make sure it's safe. be happy, hyunjin, live a good life.

hyunjin was shocked.
confused.
worried.
he couldn't explain, he felt so many emotions at once and it overwhelmed him.
