At precisely 12:00 a.m., in New Haven, Connecticut, Dr. Henry Archer and his crew were prepared for the autopsy of a girl who had died mysteriously. Nobody could seem to understand the circumstances surrounding her death, so it was up to the top autopsists in America to solve it.

At the moment, Dr. Archer was kicking his feet back in his office. He was pondering the mystery of the girl's death, how he could benefit from solving the mystery, and the simple incompetence of everyone involved. As he was thinking, he heard a knock at the office door.

"Come in," Archer said gruffly.

When the door opened, his young assistant, Daniel Prince, was standing. He looked as small and feeble as ever, being constantly intimidated by his boss.

"The body has been prepared, Dr. Archer," Prince informed. The Doctor let out a sigh, knowing that the task ahead, despite all its fruits, was going to be difficult.

"Very well," Archer grunted. Slowly, the middle-aged man rose up from his chair, although it was evident he was growing tired.

The Doctor walked out of his small office, which was really a den, down a long hallway. The dark green walls and the gray floor wounded down a long distance. Archer's footsteps on the tiled floor echoed across the facility. Eventually, he reached a room that he knew to be an autopsy room.

"It is time!" the Doctor said as he strolled into the autopsy room. In the center, there was a gurney with the pale corpse of a young girl. It appeared to have been frozen for a long time before it arrived. The autopsy team surrounded the body.

"I suppose we must get stared. Security has everything under control. Lock the door," Archer commanded. A nearby doctor rushed over to the door, obeying the Doctor's commands.

"We must start down and work our way up. The girl was hanging from a tree when the authorities found her. We could try to see if she tried running away, and broke anything..." Archer said.

The team used their knives to dig into the flesh of the child. However, they could find no signs of a fracture, a breach, or... anything.

"Well, there aren't any signs of broken bones or any type of damage to the legs. Photograph it and let's move on!" Archer commanded.

"Yes, sir!" Prince said. Off a nearby tool stand, he grabbed a digital camera and documented the autopsy of the legs.

"Now, we must move on to the torso. The lungs are vital to understanding what happened. If the subject screamed during her death, we can estimate the level of pain she experienced from the state of her lungs, and from there, MAYBE track the method of death," the head doctor commanded.

With a tool, Archer sliced the corpse's torso open until the team reached the lungs. One of the team members ripped it out and carefully inspected the organs.

"It looks slightly sore from screaming, but other than that, no damage..." the doctor remarked.

"Document it!" Archer responded impatiently. He was getting frustrated at the lack of results.

As the hours went by, they couldn't find any damage across the body. By four o'clock, they had inspected the entire body, but they found no damage.

"This is very unfortunate. We are no closer to discovering the cause of death to report to the authorities! Now what are going to do?" Prince demanded.

Doctor Archer was thinking about what happened throughout the autopsy. He was supposed to prove everyone wrong and be the hero of this case! But just like those he deemed 'religious fanatics,' he reached no conclusion.
