Moonpaw's P.O.V

"I'm gonna catch the most fresh kill this Assessment!" Berrypaw meowed, jumping over a log. "No, I am!" Hazelpaw cried. I purred. "Maybe I'm better than any of you and I'll catch 10 pieces of prey!" The apprentices giggled. "That would be funny. But you know that'll never happen. You haven't any practice!"

"Or have I?" I challenged Berrypaw. Before he could react, Spiderleg called out to us. "Are you Cats or Slugs? Hurry up!" We raced forward until we were in step with the four warriors. Sorreltail, Spiderleg, Brambleclaw and Dustpelt. After a while, we stopped and the Warriors grinned at us. "Alright. Who's going where?"

"I'll take the spot near WindClan! I want to catch a stray rabbit! Serves them right!" Mousepaw cried. The mentors purred. "Berrypaw?"

"Near ShadowClan. Like Mousepaw, I want to catch a stray bird or something. But also check their borders. They might've marked further then they were supposed to!" Berrypaw growled. I grinned.

"Hazelpaw?"

"I would like to hunt near the two-leg nest. Mice are always plentiful there." She smiled. Then they came to me. "Uh, how about we stick to some training instea-"

"No! I'm gonna hunt for this assessment! Even though it's not mine, I'll still do it. But I won't become a warrior yet because it's basically training." The mentors looked at one another. "Okay... Where will you hunt?" Brambleclaw asked. "In the Lake. There's no rule against there is there? I'll hunt there." Everyone looked at me in surprise. "But you can't! You're a ThunderClan cat! Not a RiverClan one!"

"What's RiverClan?" I asked. They fell silent. "Um. There are four Clans. WindClan, ShadowClan, RiverClan and ThunderClan. Only River cats fish." Hazelpaw pointed out. "Doesn't mean I can't fish." I replied. "Come on. When do we start?" They looked at one another in silence. "Uh, now! Off you go. We'll asses you after you're gone." Dustpelt said quickly. The apprentices nodded and wandered off into different directions. I took a step forward and then Sorreltail stopped me. "Moonpaw! You don't know what the borders smell like! And, and, you might not know where the lake is!" She cried. Having pity on the sweet she-cat, I smiled reassuringly.

"Don't worry. I know the difference between ThunderClan scent and any other. I won't cross any borders and the Lake is this way. I'm fine." Placing my tail tip on her shoulder, I ran off toward the lake. "But-!" I heard Sorreltail cry. I ignored her and soon found myself at the lake. The water lapped at the sand and I smiled, elated. I loved the lake. I leapt forward into the clear water, the heat of the sun draining away by the cold water. I paddled out far. Between the ThunderClan territory and the floating Island. Dipping my head in the water, I watched the underwater life spring into action. It was quite beautiful. There were rocks covered in water plants and little animals like crabs and fish swam about. I dived and looked around for something delicious. A red crab with a long tail and legs swam around some of the underwater plants. These plants were green and they looked like overgrown cat fur covered in mould. I made a disgusted face and smiled. Swimming forward, I swiped it with my claws and held it in my mouth.

I surfaced, taking a breath of air. I swam to the ThunderClan territory and placed down the Lobster. It was Seafern's idea to call it that. I plunged back into the water and swam back to where I was before. The fish looked quite tempting and I swam after the silver scaled fish. I snapped my teeth around the nearest fish and swiped my claws at the rest. Surfacing again, I had about 5 fish all together. 1 in my mouth and one in each paw. Making my way carefully back to the territory, I made sure that the fish couldn't escape. When I was at the territory, and gave them all a killing bite and piled them next to my Lobster. Suddenly, I felt the presence of another cat close by. Frowning, I turned my head and saw Sorreltail gaping wide eyed and mouthed at me. "What?" I asked.

Seafern's P.O.V

"She came back with five fish and a 'Lobster' as she calls it. It was incredible! She also claimed that she was never part of RiverClan in her life! Ever!" Sorreltail said, drawing the attention of many cats. I rolled my eyes. It was never a surprise for me. We always caught amazing things like that. One of my favourite foods were lobsters. They were so nice! "Great job Moonpaw! Care to share the lobster?" I asked, licking my lips. She giggled. "Sure! Though I want to give half to Firestar. I'll stick with fish."

"I'll come with you." I nodded and we went to Firestar's den. He was grooming himself as we came in. "Hello Moonpaw and Seafern. What brings you here?" He asked, eying the lobster suspiciously. "I caught a lobster in the assessment. Also a few fish. I wanted to share half with you because you're the leader and I don't think you've tasted any lobsters in your life! Have you?" Moonpaw said sweetly. Laying it down, she cut the lobster in half and gave half to me and half to Firestar. "Trust me! It tastes amazing! And you're lucky because you get to eat the tail with is the best part." I said, chomping down my half of the lobster. "Okay..." He hesitated, then bit down onto the tail. His face lightened up and he ate the rest. Moonpaw gave me a happy look.

"Do you like it?" She asked. "Moonpaw, I agree with Seafern. This 'Lobster', as you call it, is quite the treat! Well done! I suppose you can catch them as well?" He asked me happily. "Yes. I can also catch cat fish"

"Cat fish?" Firestar blinked. Moonpaw's mouth watered when I brought it up. She started to describe to him what it was and how big it was. "I can't catch them. Only Seafern can. We also promised each other not to tell anyone our skills and catches but this is our clan now. So we can."
