Indrani's POV —

The first day at the office had been a whirlwind. After the tense meeting with Anuruddha, where the air was thick with unspoken emotions, I retreated to my temporary workspace with a mix of apprehension and determination. The office was a polished labyrinth of glass and steel, a stark contrast to the emotional chaos brewing within me.

As the morning sunlight filtered through the high windows of the Witson Empire building, I prepared for my second day with a renewed sense of purpose.
Today, I would dive deeper into Anuruddha’s groundbreaking AI project—a project that held both immense potential and personal significance.

My task was to bring all the necessary documents and data to facilitate a crucial meeting with Anuruddha.

Come on , Indrani ! You can and You must do it . You gotcha show him Why You are Ms. D . ” — I self motivated .

I dressed in a tailored suit that balanced professionalism with a hint of my own style, hoping it would boost my confidence.

The office buzzed with activity as I made my way to the conference room, carrying a sleek briefcase that held everything I needed.

My heart raced with every step, the anticipation mingling with a lingering anxiety.

Inside the conference room, a large table was surrounded by key members of the team, their faces a mix of curiosity and expectation. I set up the materials with precision, making sure everything was in order.

Just when I sat on the chair I am supposed to sit , Anuruddha arrived just as I finished, his presence commanding immediate attention . I looked up at him and he looked at me..
He looked more pacifying , more breathtaking , more handsome..
I was almost doomed in his beauty just when My phone beeped up with a notification that It was time for the start of the meeting. I came back from my ‘delulu-world’ to the Human world again .

Also Anuruddha sat on his chair , greeted everyone good morning with no expression on his face..
As usual ! Isn't it?
Dehh!!

Then he picked up a file that was kept infront of him —

Let’s get started,” he said curtly, his tone brooking no argument.

I began presenting the project details, articulating my insights with practiced ease. The room was silent, save for the soft hum of the projector and the occasional rustle of papers. Anuruddha’s eyes remained fixed on me, their intensity making it hard to focus.
One thing I really hate in him..is his confidence!
He , not only looked at me , infact he stared at me..
No ! Not at me..
Into my damn soul..
His gaze never fell fade 🙂

(eewwww these giggles and blusheshhh ahhhh)

Halfway through, I noticed a strange tension in the room. I was so engrossed in my presentation that I didn’t immediately register the exchange between a junior team member and Anuruddha. The junior’s face was flushed, and she quickly averted her eyes.

It wasn’t until the end of my presentation that I realized something was amiss.

A critical USB drive, containing essential data for the project, was missing. My heart sank as I scanned my notes and the table, desperately hoping I had overlooked it.

Anuruddha’s gaze was unyielding.

Ms. Diyash,” he said, his voice carrying a cold edge, “I don’t see the data from the USB drive. You were supposed to have everything ready.”

I felt a flush of panic and embarrassment. “I—I’ve kept it there only ..umm , I must have misplaced it. I’ll find it immediately.”
