CHAPTER FIVE

The following morning Carly rose bright and, early as the sun peered out of the clouds.

Hello, sun Carly said as she sat up in her bed and, stretched. She looked over at Freddie and, noticed he was still sleeping.

Awe, my poor tuckered out hubby Carly said as Freddie was fast asleep.

Carly pulled the sheets back and, stepped out of bed into her nice green fuzzy slippers then unhooked herself from her CPAP machine. She grabbed her clothes on the lounging chair next to their dresser. She also grabbed Freddie's thermos to refill as well. After getting her clothes on and, brushing her teeth Carly made her way to the kitchen to rinse out Freddie's thermos.

Then setting the thermos down to dry she walked over by the Nespresso machine to put a pod in the machine.

As she allowed the Nespresso to brew that's when her phone rang. She noticed it was Spencer calling her so she answered it.

Hello, Spencer Carly answered.

Hey, Carls I tried calling Freddie and, his phone went to voice mail Spencer said.

He's still sleeping last night took a lot out of him poor thing was so tired Carly explained.

Awe, he did great last night he turned his behavior around I'm very proud of him. Anway, to pivot the conversation. Audrey gave me a list for case workers for you and, Freddie to look over I'd thought I would drop by and, give it to you guys before we head back to Cali Spencer explained.

You had to use a Friends reference didn't you Carly laughs.

Of course, I'm binging Friends with Audrey, she's never seen it she's like two years older than me can you believe it Spencer said as he was surprised.

I'm younger than she is and, I've seen Friends but also you raised me so there's that Carly jokes.

Spencer laughs at Carly's joke.

Anyway, kiddo do you want the list Spencer asked?

Of course bring it over Carly cheered.   

I'll bring it over this afternoon anyway enjoy the rest of your morning Spencer replies.

Thank you Spencer I probably should start breakfast Carly announced.

Alrighty kiddo I probably should eat too. I'll see you later Spencer said as he hung up.

Carly set her phone down then grabbed herself a cup of Nespresso. She went to the refrigerator to grab the milk for oatmeal. After she set the milk aside, she took the pot off the stove then turned on the hot water. After filling the pot she ended up placing the pot on the stove then turns it on to medium heat. As a few hours went by Carly starts setting up the table while letting the oatmeal cook.

She hears Millicent coming down the stairs she yawns and says good morning to Carly.

Good morning, my big birthday girl how are we today Carly asked as she continued setting the table.

I'm good where's dad Millicent asked?

He's still sleeping he was extremely exhausted last night Carly replied.

Ah, got it last night was crazy and, my followers loved my photo's! You threw the best party Millicent gloated.

I'm glad you had a good birthday maybe I should become a party planner Carly bragged.

Oh, by the way Spencer's coming over he said that he's got some important papers for us. So we can go forward with your adoption Carly announced.

That's amazing hey can I be their when you guys discuss the process Millicent asked?

Eh I can't see why you can't besides I think he's just going to drop off papers Carly responded.

I know, I just mean when you guys actually get a caseworker Millicent asked?

Freddie finally wakes up then walks into the living room as he can smell the aroma of oatmeal boiling.

Why hello sleeping beauty how are we Carly jokingly asked? 

 As Freddie finally woken up.
