A Night to Remember

The excitement of prom day was palpable in the air as Zeeshan and Kritika prepared for the night ahead. Despite a sleepless night filled with anticipation, they both headed to their respective grooming appointments, sharing pictures and messages with each other to keep the excitement alive.

Kritika, with her hair and makeup perfectly done, looked stunning. She was eager to introduce Zeeshan to her parents and had asked him to come to her house at 6 pm, two hours before the prom began. When Zeeshan arrived, he was greeted by Kritika's brother, who recognized him from school and let him in. Soon after, Kritika's mother arrived and, upon seeing Zeeshan dressed up, suspected the reason for his visit.

Zeeshan's nervousness grew as he met Kritika's father, who arrived before Kritika did. He stood there, a gentleman in waiting, his eyes anxiously scanning the staircase for a glimpse of Kritika. And then, she appeared, descending the stairs like an angel in human form.

Kritika, resplendent in her prom attire, held Zeeshan's hand as she stood before her parents. She mustered the courage to tell them about their three-year relationship, how Zeeshan had asked her to the prom, and their decision to make their relationship official by revealing it to their parents.

Silence filled the room, but Zeeshan, wanting to break the tension, spoke from the heart. "You don't have to worry about your daughter. She is the love of my life, and I will cherish and protect her always and forever." Still, there was no immediate response from Kritika's parents.

Zeeshan then turned to Kritika's father, looking deep into his eyes, and asked for permission to take her to the prom. Kritika's father, after a thoughtful moment, agreed, and her mother nodded in acceptance. The relief that washed over Zeeshan and Kritika was immeasurable, and they knew the significance of the moment they had just experienced.

With her father's consent, they refrained from embracing out of respect for her parents and decided to be driven to the prom venue by him. As they sat together in the car, the weight of their decisions and the strength of their love filled the air, making this prom night even more special.
