Jayla was walking the streets in one of Chicago's dangerous neighborhoods. She'd bypass a church and sat on the stoop. She'd didn't even notice it was a church. Jayla begined  grieving, thinking of losing her so-called boyfriend. She'd thought just because they'd was intimate that they'd were soul mates.

Jayla glimpses up to see a man in a suit. He'd embraced her. He'd asked her what was wrong and where her parents were. Jayla shrugged, saying she hated life. The man frowned, and jayla asked if the elder could take her home. He informed her he would.

They'd decided to stop to get something to eat. They'd settled for a chicken wing spot. The man began speaking on the gospel of our lord and savoir Jesus Christ. Jayla listened as She'd indulge. Jayla expressed that she desired to go to college and receive a scholarship in track and field.

The elder slid the small Bible that was in his pocket across the table for Jayla to read. He'd assured her life would enlighten once she gave her life to Jesus.
