Backstory: Matt grew up with a big family but one day they all died in a fire. He was then taken to the Hyakuya Orphanage where he joined the family happily. Until the virus hit and all of them were taken by the vampires. Matt hated the vampires with a passion but didn't act as rebellious as Yuu did. One day Krul heard Matt singing and had him brought to her where he was made to sing for her. This became a normal thing to the point where Krul started calling him her 'Songbird'. When the Hyakuyas tried to escape Matt was almost one of the casualties. But Krul turned him like she did with Mika. So Matt became a half-vampire. He was one day used in an experiment by Krul which changed his mental state to pure insanity and basically erased his memories from before the experiment happened which caused the Matt who is now called 'The Executioner' in the vampire army. His personal mission is to kill all humans and then move on to the vampires to completely cleanse the world. So he doesn't bother drinking from humans. And Matt can be snapped out of his insanity but nobody has tried. Not yet at least.
