The storm battered against the ship relentlessly, tossing the Jolly Roger over mountainous waves as the wind and water beat against the hull of the ship. "Get that cargo below deck!" Henry shouted to his crew over the deafening noise of the storm. His drenched dark hair clung to his face the same as his garments did, his iron grip on the helm keeping them on course despite the storm's best efforts. "Smee! Damnit Smee where are you?!"
"Coming captain!" A shout from somewhere on deck as the round older man shuffled across the soaked deck, gripping the railing to keep him from tumbling over the side of the ship and into the angry sea below. The ship's rocking didn't cease, and the water that had washed over the side of the ship only made the deck slippery and dangerous to walk on. None of the men dared complain though. Henry had sailed them through rougher spots than this. As long as they listened to his direction, they would make it through with their lives.
