“That's it everyone, The deal will be closed right after my dad signs the contract.” I said at the end of the meeting between me and our client vishwa CEO of Archer construction company.

“Mr.Aryan ,Our company's legal advisor will reach out to you with the contract. Make sure to check it and mention the doubts if any.” Vishwa said with a grin on his face.

“Sure.”!i replied with a grin matching his. I stayed in the meeting room for a while after he left and asked Sarayu my assistant to bring my mobile which I left with her before the meeting. She walked into the room holding a tray with my mobile and a coffee cup in it. I took my mobile from the tray and switched it on.

As I turned the internet on, my mobile's screen flooded with notifications of all the messages and calls i missed in the past two hours while I was in the meeting. I scrolled the notifications until I found the messages from my dad.

How did the meeting go?

Not bad, they're convinced with all our conditions.

Good, well done my boy.

The only thing remaining is you signing the contract.

Done. I'll be back in three days. Take care of the things till then.

Got it.

The hardest part of being the son of a successful businessman is, everyone's expectations on you will be too high. Even the thought of not being able to live up to those expectations makes me feel uncomfortable. My dad Mr. Vishwanath chakravarthy is one of the top businessmen in the city. We owned multiple businesses in the city, but the raw material supplying is the best one. It is his main business and the root of his success. He took over this company after my grandfather's demise and developed it to the stage it is in now.

After a long time my mom Mrs.Ashwini requested him for a vacation that he couldn't resist. So he kept me in charge of the company and my brother Shri until he returned. As of now everything is under control.

All that remains is my personal life. As I scrolled up and glanced at the message on the top, every muscle in my body tensed with fear.

Twenty three messages from Suchi in the last one and a half hours. She's going to kill me. We've been in a relationship since our school days and one thing I know about her is that texting her back after not replying to her texts multiple times is like pouring diesel into the burning fire.

I looked up at my assistant and gestured to her to send the documents to be studied at home and walked out of the room and took the elevator for the Basement.

As I reached the basement i dialed her number and walked towards my car, she picked the call on the first ring.

“Where are you?” she screamed with anger.
“Meeting with the clients took more time.” i replied with a calm tone.
“Come to our place. Now!”
“I'll be there in ten minutes.” she hung up the call right away.

I shouldn't have forgotten this but we had a date tonight. I didn't even have the time to buy something for her. I fastened my seatbelt and started my car and as I was reversing the car something on the backseat caught my attention. I looked back and found a bag with the latest Collen Hoover paperback and suchi's favorite chocolates with her favourite rose flower bouquet. Sarayu, the only name i could remember is this as she was the one who always mends my mistakes and she already knew about my date tonight. I'll thank her later but now I need to speed up.
