A Drunken Confession

30 minutes later......

Now, Ailee and Joshua were in a small bar and having a beer together. Joshua had 2 glasses but ha wasn’t drunk because he had high alcohol tolerance. While Ailee had 3 glasses and was completely drunk by now.

She finished her 4th glass and put her head down on the counter table, then she called out Joshua's name and when he responded, she said, 'Shu, you know what? You sometimes remind me of my childhood best friend, Joshua Hong. Even your names are same and I sometimes feel like you two will also look quite same. I had a crush on him since my childhood. But, I don’t know if he liked me back or not back then. But, now, I have a crush on an another guy too from our university and I am one of his best friends. But, I don’t know if he likes me or not. I didn’t want to realize at first that I have a crush on that guy, but I feel like I will never meet Joshua again, so I decided to give this love a second chance. I decided to love someone again. But, most of the girls in our university likes him and I don’t know if he likes someone. When I was in Korea until 6, Joshua always took care of me. He played with me, ate with me, slept with me, studied with me and we did everything together. He always protected me from bad boys and scolded me for whatever I wore like you do. You always protect me from bad guys and always scold me for wearing such revealing outfits which can only a husband or boyfriend, elder brother and dad can do. My dad and mom are busy most of the time and I also don’t have any siblings. And, my dad doesn’t pay much attention to what I wear, but you do and Joshua did. He would always run to me and cover my body whenever a boy would cme close to me. I feel like crying whe n you care this much for me. I am really lucky to have a friend like you. Thank you for caring for me and loving me as your best friend. The day when I was going to Ottawa, he came to me and told me to promise me that when I will leave him, I will learn self-defence to protect myself from bad boys and be a good girl. And, here I am now sitting in the bar with the boy who protects me all the time even when I have a black belt in martial arts.'

Until now, Joshua was hearing whatever she was saying, but when she finished, Joshua said, 'I understand everything. Now, let's go back to the hotel. You look completely drunk. You need to rest.' Then, he paid for their drinks and hold Ailee's waist tightly. Then, he picked her up from her seat and went outside of the bar. Then, he made her sit on the bus stop bench and went to start the bike which he lent from the hotel's vehicle gallery.

But, when Joshua was away, a guy approached Ailee and said, 'Are you drunk, dear?' Hearing the word 'Dear', she said, 'Did you come back to me after this long time? I will not let you go away from me ever again after this.' Actually, Joshua called her dear since he learnt to speak and her vision was blurry now because of getting drunk, so she thought that that stranger was her childhood crush, Joshua. Then, she hold that guy's hand and made him stand up with her.

She said, 'Look. I like you a lot and I am telling you my actual feelings now. So, marry me and stay with me for the rest of my life.' Joshua had come back now and was looking what Ailee was doing with that guy. He was feeling so jealous. Suddenly, the guy smirked and said to her, 'You like me, am I right, dear?' She nodded and he said again, 'Then, I like you too and let's have fun together. You seem to be very beautiful and you have a good body too.' Saying this, the guy was going to touch her chest when Joshua ran towards them and punched on that guy's nose which made him fell on the ground.

Then, Joshua made Ailee sit on the bus stop bench again and when he turned around, the guy got up from ground and came to punch him, but he dodged his punches and punched on his stomach which made him fell on the ground again. Joshua then got up on that guy's body and started punching him on his nose until it started bleeding. Then, he finally punched at that guy's mouth which made one of his front-side teeth break. But, because of punching that jerk on his teeth, his hand started to bleed but he didn't care about it. He then got up and said, 'Don't even dare to touch my girl! If I ever see you laying a single finger on her or somewhere near her, I won't think twice to kill you. Remember this.'

Then, Joshua carried Ailee to the bike and made her wear the helmet. Then, he wrapped her hands around his waist and hold them with one hand while he started driving the bike with other hand. After that, they reached the hotel and Joshua carried Ailee in bridal style with the key of the bike in one hand and gave it to the receptionist after entering in the hotel and then went towards the elevator to reach  their room.

But, when they got out of the elevator, the first thing Joshua faced was his friend, Jeonghan. Seeing Joshua carrying Ailee in a bridal style, Jeonghan took out his phone from his pocket and clicked a picture of them.

Seeing this, Joshua rolled his eyes and said, 'Get lost! Go to sleep now.' Then, he went towards his room and locked the door while Jeonghan smirked and went inside his room too.

Joshua then put Ailee on the bed and laid down beside her after changing into his night suit and turning the lights off. Ailee actually fell asleep on their way to the hotel. In 5 minutes, he fell asleep, too.
