Driftmark was buzzing with gossip.

The events of the night prior had reached everyone in the castle, even the ones who luckily weren't in that room were talking about it.

Word had spread that Queen Alicent had gone mad. They say her outburst was a sign of some deficiency somewhere.

If she were being honest, Rhaelle didn't know what to think. That night she didn't sleep. Neither did anyone in the castle, honestly.

The siblings hadn't talked since the incident. Rhaelle kept to herself per usual, and she could tell her eldest brother was worried for his siblings but didn't know how to show it. Helaena was focused on her bugs like always and Aemond was just indifferent.

Like he said the previous night, It was a fair exchange in his eye.

When they left Driftmark, Rhaelle was hardly allowed to give her sister and nephews a goodbye. When her mother wasn't watching she managed to give Jace and Luke hugs, but it wasn't the same as a full fledged goodbye.

When they departed from Driftmark, Rhaelle kept her distance from her parents. She stayed in the ship quarters and wouldn't talk to her parents, not that they tried speaking to her.

Her heart ached for her entire family. It had been torn apart by one night and she knew her life would never be the same.

That day on Driftmark marked the day Rhaelle was plunged into the harsh realization that her family wasn't all sunshine and roses like others believed it to be.
