“Your hour starts... Now” said Mr Jeong, talking to Soomin.

“But sir, why do I have to be hereeeeughhh” groaned Soomin. She obviously knew why she was in detention but she just wanted to push the teacher's buttons.

“Because, Soomin, you knocked over a special art display that took months to design” replied Mr Jeong.

“But it was an accident, and who in their right mind would take months to design a huge gold star bro?” said Soomin.

“It's not just a huge gold star, Soomin. It represents our school, Modhaus Academy, and all of the bright students who attend here. Well... Let's say, not all of our students are bright, demonstrated by you” said Mr Jeong, rolling his eyes.

Soomin gasped loud enough for the entire school to here.

“Hey! I'll have you know that I am as bright as the moon!” she said, pouting.

Mr Jeong just scoffed before sitting down and opening a folder full of test papers.

“Soomin, I need to grade these papers by tomorrow and I don't need any distractions. So would you kindly be silent?” said Mr Jeong, not lifting his head up from the desk.

“But sir, if I don't yap within five minutes, I could die! I haven't went five minutes without yapping and it seems scary!” exclaimed the girl. She wasn't lying though; she really hasn't went five minutes without talking.

“How about you stay silent for every 4 and a half minutes then talk for 4 minutes” suggested Mr Jeong. He was prepared to do anything as long as it would shut Soomin up.

“But I can't! Not talking is really hard for me, you know” huffed Soomin.

Mr Jeong ignored her and left the room to go to his office.

“The audacity! He left me in here alone with no one to yap to...” sighed the talkative girl.

“So what am I, huh? A flea?” said a voice from the window.

Soomin spun her head to see none other than her best friend in the whole wide world, Yeonji.

“Yeonji-mon!” squealed Soomin. She was happy to see her best friend.

“Gosh, why did it take him an eternity to leave? I was sitting out here for 20 minutes!” said Yeonji as she climbed through the window.

“I'm so glad that you're here, Kwak. Otherwise I'd have no one to yap to” said Soomin.

Yeonji shushed Soomin by putting her hand over her mouth.

“You need to be quiet, Soo” hushed the younger girl, listening out to see if Mr Jeong could here them.

After a few moments of listening to nothing but silence, Yeonji removed her hand from Soomin's mouth.

“Now c'mon, Chaewon and Hayeon are waiting for us” said Yeonji, quiet enough for only Soomin to hear.

“Kk!” said Soomin, getting up from her chair and following Yeonji to the window.

Yeonji hopped over the window whilst Soomin was a bit nervous.

“C'mon Soomin, it's a window” said Yeonji.

“Fine, but if I die, you're playing ″Girls' Capitalism″ at my funeral” said Soomin.

With all her might, Soomin hopped over the window and landed safely. Just as she landed, they heard footsteps coming from Mr Jeong's office.

“C'mon, let's go!” said Yeonji as the two ran away from the building to join Chaewon and Hayeon.
