- 10 years later -
NuNew's POV
I smiled, thanking my customers as they left my Café.
10 years, I was finally a successful owner of a shop. Despite how tired I get everyday, atleast I wasn't working alone anymore. I had Fiona, Janis, and more employees.
But something was still missing, and I couldn't help but miss him everyday too.
Zee.
It's been years since we last met. He left me confused, thinking on why he left so suddenly, not even a single update from him, a reason why he left without saying anything.
He was a good guy, he protected me, saved me, cared for me. But why leave?
I didn't get to tell my feelings towards him. I liked him.
Alright NuNew, now's not the time to think about the past. You're still working.
"P'Nhu!" i turn to see Fiona, struggling with the coffee machine. I chuckled, "Janis, can you help her?" i spoke as Janis giggled, running towards her.
I sighed, crossing my arms against my chest as I watched some of my employees take orders from their customers. We all start small, then end up big. 10 years was worth it.
I smiled.
- Later -
"Good job today everyone! Another successful day!" Janis says, clapping as I chuckled softly, "Alright, how about a break everyone?" everyone cheered, "Yay! a day off!" Fiona giggled. "Alright alright, you guys can go home now. I still have to make sure everything is secured here." i patted the front counter.
"Okay, Phi." one of my other employees spoke, smiling. "Get home safely, Boss!" Janis says, waving as I waved back before they all left.
I sighed, walking to the back room, checking if everything's well placed. I frowned, seeing a crumbled paper near the back door.
No one even brings paper here..
I walked towards it, picking it up on the floor as I opened it.
'Coffee?'
I furrowed my eyebrows, coffee?
I raise my head from the paper, checking if the back door was locked. It was, but how did this note get here?
"It's probably nothing." i crumbled it again, throwing it on the trash can as I walked back to the front counter.
I gasped, eyes widening.
"Hey uh, I know the store is closed but, one coffee please?"
Zee says, walking to the front counter with a slight smile.
"Zee?" i shuddered a breath. I couldn't believe it. Was it really him? Or am I dreaming? What the actual fuck..?
"Long time no see, Nhu."
Tears slowly welled up my eyes as I ran to him, hugging him tightly as he groaned with a chuckle. "I asked for a coffee, not a hug." he joked, hugging me back as I stained his shirt with my tears.
"It's- It's really you..!" i said, feeling relieved before looking up to him.
But then,
He winced as I pinched his arm, hard. "Ouch! What was that for?!" "You idiot! How could you leave so suddenly without a word for 10 years!" i yelled, glaring at him as he rubbed the part where I pinched him.
"I'm sorry.. I just thought-"
"Thought what, huh? It took you 10 years to come back so suddenly!" i huffed. He chuckled, walking towards me, "I wanted you to forget everything in the past before coming back, so I left. Without, saying.. Anything."
"That doesn't even sound like a reason for leaving so suddenly." i muttered, rolling my eyes as he smiled, showing his dimples.
God, I missed them.
"Sorry..~" he plops his head on my shoulder. I smiled softly. "How are you? You look even handsome than before." i giggled while he chuckled, pulling away. "Do i? I've been working out lately." he rubs his jaw.
"Pft, doesn't look like it." i teased, looking away before he hummed. "Take that back." he said while I laughed as he tickled me.
He then pulled away, placing both his hands on either side of me on the counter, looking at me. "I missed you, so much.." he whispered. "Me too.." i replied. He looks at my lips, before back to my eyes.
I smiled, leaning in as I kissed him.
His eyes widened, then slowly relaxed, replying to my kiss. He lifted me up, placing me on top of the counter as he moved between my legs. I snaked both my arms on his nape, kissing him deeply.
He then slowly pulled away, breathing heavily as I giggled. "You had no idea how much I wanted to kiss you the past 10 years, Nhu." he says, "Me too, Zee." we laughed before kissing each other again.
I hummed, pushing his chest slightly away. "I still have to close the shop, Zee." i said, smiling as he chuckled, nodding. He helped me get off the counter, carrying my bag as I grabbed my keys before we got out.
I twisted the key on the padlock, locking it. Zee opened my bag as I placed my keys inside. "Did you bring your bike?" i asked, looking up to him as he hummed, "Yeah."
He grabbed my hand as we walked to his bike together. God how much I've been wanting to hold hands with him.
He was, finally back. 10 years really was worth the wait. How much I've wanted to kiss him, to talk to him after years.
I smiled.
