In that moment, it didn't matter that they were surrounded by strangers, or that their lives had taken different paths. All that mattered was the unspoken understanding that passed between them, a spark that reignited the memories of their past love.
Time seemed to stand still as they held each other's gaze, the world around them fading into the background.
