The night came sooner then you expected on Toola and soon you and Crosshair were trekking along the snowy tundra towards the smugglers base you had originally come too. The plain you were crossing felt unbelievably flat and it made your senses heighten from fear. You could see far into the distance and no doubt could be easily spotted just as well. It almost made you want to crouch down or crawl as you walked, just so you would feel less obvious.

Crosshair marched along steadily, no doubt accounting for your fatigue and slowing down to keep pace with you. He had seemed just as grouchy after his nap and you two had waited a little longer after the sun had set to get moving. Crosshair hadn't spoken to you yet beyond "Lets move" and you were now well on your way towards the base and surrounding forest.

Even with the fear of being tracked down looming in the back of your mind, it was easy to admire the sparkling snow surrounding you bathed in moonlight and the faint mountains in the far distance barely visible through a snowy fog. You even thought you could faintly see the trees you were heading towards given how flat it was.

It was quite cold, but as you were moving you could feel the heat circulating through your body. You were connected to the force only to help support your aching knees and calves which were starting to feel overworked after being unused while you were held captive. The cool air through your helmet felt so refreshing it was as if you had been given a new life and you could feel a happiness returning to you now that you had eaten, rested and on your way.

Crosshair hadn't seemed like the chatty type but you decided it was worth a shot anyways. Maybe you could get more out of him then before because you were walking. Plus, you assumed he would shut you down immediately if he thought you were annoying.

"So Crosshair" you began, not able to see his face shift or eyes glance at you. He loved it when you used his name, although he couldn't explain why and he found that reaction quite annoying.

"what is it" he asked, clearly ready for a complaint.

"You had wanted to know how I knew your name earlier" you explain and the clone didn't reply.

"Well," you kept going "You clearly knew our radio frequency and when you spoke through their Echo had said 'Crosshair'. Since you were then introduced to me as a clone I boldly thought that the Crosshair Echo had been referring to was you. I'll admit after you hadn't reacted I thought I was wrong. That wasn't the first time I heard you name though. I was actually told all about you by your brothers on the Marauder".

This seemed to get a reaction out of Crosshair because you noticed his helmet turn slightly towards you and his pace slow a little.

--he's listening-- you smile to yourself and continue "They had decided to tell me about you. A little about who you were and how they had lost you to the Empire—"

"I pledged my allegiance to the Empire" Crosshair said cutting you off "It was a simple matter and there was no greater option. Pssh .. lossed me ..."

You were surprised to hear Crosshair react that way, but it actually made you chuckle "Yeah? Glad thats workin out for you".

Crosshair seemed to just shrug it off, but you hoped the irony of his statement had been clear.

"If you are associated with the Marauder why were you on the Remora? I do not recall my brothers being associated with that ship" Crosshair asked now looking straight ahead and avoiding your gaze.

"That was just for a mission here. I live on the Marauder and I'm an honorary member"—and you hear a sarcastic chuckle from your walking partner.
