Sanemi's pov:
It was 7pm and extremely cold in tye wind hashira's estate. Sanemi had a day of today so he would relax, or so he thought. Suddenly he heard a knock on his door. Tye hashira was caught of guard, he wasn't expecting anybody. He looked out the window near the front door the sunset was beautiful, yet he still wondered who was knocking at his door. Sanemi looked at where the door is he could see a man with black hair put up in a messy pony tail, a red haori... when he took a beter look he could see that the other side of the haori was yellow with green cubes. Sanemi was slightly annoyed cause he knew all to well who that is Giyuu Tomioka the water hashira. Sanemi absolutely hated the dude and he thought the feeling was mutual, so why was he standing in front oh his door he wondered. Sanemi opened the door and immediate asked: "what do you need!?" He saw that Giyuu had a nervous expression on his face he was holding a bag in his right hand and asked if he could come in. Normally the wind hashira would have said no but he was curious was in the bag. He said with an angry tone: "whatever... but it won't be long... right!?" Giyuu seemed slightly nervous but came inside. Sanemi took a seat at tye kitchen table and offered Giyuu a seat aswell but he politely declined. Sanemi seemed annoyed at that... "So what's in that bag?" Sanemi asked. "Oh, uhm I brought you Ohagi... your brother told me that it is your favorite food so I made some for you because I would like to be your friend" Giyuu replied shyly. Sanemi looked surprised and annoyed at the same time. He wondered how does he know about Genya and why does he want to be my frien... "I don't have a brother" Sanemi replied dry. The water hashira was caught of guard by that he was visibly surprised by what the wind hashira just told him. Sanemi wasn't surprised by his reaction. "If he had actually had a conversation with Genya, genya probably would've told him that I'm his brother" the wind hashira thought. After all giyuu and him didn't talk much except for the times Obanai and him make fun of Giyuu, he is such an easy target. I mean giyuu always said he was different from all the hashira's, sanemi finds that pathetic so does the serpent hashira... but something always intrigued him abt giyuu he always looked at his eyes... sanemi finds them beautiful they're ocean blue and dead calm almost lifeless...
A part of him wants to be friends with him and wants to find out why he's so drawn to giyuu but another part of him hates the way he acts... giyuu just stood there not knowing what to say. Sanemi looked at him also not knowing what to say. He ended up breaking the silence and asked him if he wanted a glass of saké (idk if I spelled it right?). "Hmm... okay maybe one, are you going to try the ohagi?" Giyuu asked. Sanemi handed him a glass of saké and nodded. He took the ohagi put of the bag and took a bite not expecting much... "mhmm this is actually rly good... didn't know you could cook" sanemi said while taking a sip of his saké. Giyuu looked at him and said :"my sister taught me this before she died". The wind hashira looked at him in silence, Giyuu just sat there holding his glass. "Oh sorry I didn't know..." sanemi said quietly. "It doesn't matter, I also didn't know genya wasn't your brother," giyuu stared at the clock hanging on the wall... it had been a while Sanemi noticed aswell "I better get going", giyuu sighed. Sanemi didn't want giyuu to leave he wanted to talk for a little while longer... even though there wasn't much to talk about. "I'll let you out then" sanemi said with a hint of disappointment in his voice. The water hashira nodded and started walking towards the front door. Sanemi stood up and started to make his way towards the front door aswell he noticed giyuu's glass wasn't even empty yet. Sanemi opened the door for him and thanked him for the ohagi again. Giyuu said it was nothing and walked away. Sanemi closed the door and sat down at his kitchen table again. He couldn't stop thinking about what just had happened. After an hour just staring at the gift giyuu gave him he ended up putting it in the fridge and going to bed. The wind hashira was tired yet he couldn't sleep... normally sanemi was an easy sleeper, yet why couldn't he sleep today... after some time passed the clock hit 4 AM around that time Sanemi finally fell asleep.
