1523 - Siam, Mid-Ayutthaya Period
"Are you sure about this?" The man before them looked at them, his eyes glowing red as if wanting to overpower the two men.
"We are sure of this Khun, Phayu and I will be leaving the Coven for good." The older man answered, looking straight back at the man before them.
"Fine, it's not like I have power over the two of you. And I know you both are smart and more than strong enough to survive on your own. Do you have a place in mind where you are heading to?"
"We are planning to stay in Bangkok." Phayu replied.
That was the last time they met with Pakin, another Progenitor who looked much older than the two men by human standards.
1440 - Siam, Bangkok
Prapai had walked through earth for centuries, he had met all types of humans. But all of them would always fall for his charm. One smile from the unusually tanned Vampire and they'd be on their knees, he rarely even uses his abilities as a Vampire to get what he wants.
Humans had long accepted the existence of his kind, sure there are those who are still skeptical and wary of them but that's just the minority. With the Vampires living a long life, it is no wonder that they would have built their wealth through their long life, and with Prapai being a Progenitor himself, had already built up quite the fortune all by himself. It is what humans call assets.
That particular night, Prapai was on his way to find his meal for that week when he heard a ruckus from one alleyway.
"Get away from me you demon!" A loud shaky voice came from the very end of the alley.
"Fuck!" Another voice exclaimed.
"Where did you fucking get that silver knife?!"
At the mention of a silver knife, Prapai realized exactly what was going on.
It is most probable that a Rogue is cornering a human.
"Get away from him." Prapai commanded.
The man who was stalking towards another figure further into the alley stopped in his tracks.
The man, a Vampire, looked behind only to realize that Prapai was already standing right behind him.
"You Rogues truly are nothing but trouble for our kind." Prapai shook his head and proceeded to grab the young Vampire on his neck and threw him away from the man- boy? That he was preying on.
Prapai breathed in and closed his eyes before sending a message to his brother, Phayu, about the rogue Vampire on the loose. Once he was done, he opened his eyes to look at the boy in front of him.
"Are you okay?" Prapai asked in a voice as gentle as possible.
He didn't want to scare the still shaking young boy.
"I am fine. Leave me alone." The boy glared at him which made Prapai furrow his brows.
After glaring at the Vampire who saved him, the boy walked out of the alleyway and never looked back.
Prapai just stood there stunned at how the boy behaved. It was the very first time someone, human or vampire, had ignored his looks and charm.
Interesting~ Prapai let out a small smile while his eyes were still at the entrance of the alleyway.
