2018 - Surat Thani
Phayu walked through the halls of the Mansion- a castle, really, he wasn't fazed by how dark the castle is. It's true that it had been abandoned for centuries, but he'd made sure to send two of his trusted men to clean the mansion once a year, though it had been mostly abandoned, there is still one occupant of the said mansion. The owner, Prapai, who had been asleep for centuries...
"Sunny, Donut..." Phayu called.
"Khun Phayu?" Donut answered.
Sunny and Donut were the two men who had been keeping the mansion clean throughout the centuries that passed.
Sunny and Donut were turned right before Prapai went into a deep slumber...
The two young Vampire's loyalty towards him and his brother, Prapai, is something that can not be questioned.
"You two can leave now. It is time for my brother to awaken from his slumber..." Phayu instructed which the two followed without any questions.
Phayu walked once more, this time down the stairs, towards the basement where Prapai's coffin lay. Once there, he stood right by the solid black coffin that had been spelled to never deteriorate, and can only be touched by the people Prapai trusts which were only, Phayu, Pakin and... Sky...
"It is time to awaken Brother..." Phayu slowly opened the coffin and watched as Prapai slowly opened his eyes.
"Why have you awakened me, Phayu..." Prapai stared at his brother who looked different yet exactly the same.
"It's been half a millenia, Pai... I fear that you would weaken even more if I let you slumber for more..." Phayu's gaze softened as he saw the all too familiar look in Prapai's eyes...
"Have you found him, Brother?" Phayu shook his head.
"Then why have you awoken me, if I'd still have to live my life still without him..." Prapai's voice was laced with overwhelming sadness.
It's like torture to Phayu's ears, but he can't stand the fact that his Brother chose deep slumber for centuries instead of living...
"Please understand Brother... Even Pakin is worried for your health... Please... Live... For us, if not for yourself... He wouldn't want you to live like this... He would've wanted you to live happily..."
"You will never know how much it hurts to breathe every moment that he isn't by my side... You had Rain... And you still have him with you... But he- My heart is no longer with me... He was my life... He was my everything..." Prapai's tears streamed down his cheeks.
"I- I can never live without him Brother..." Phayu pulled Prapai close to him, giving him a hug tight enough to give assurance that he is still there.
"I am here, Rain and Pakin as well... We all are here for you... I know that he's no longer with us, but please think of us who still care for you... We have waited long enough... Please live for us Brother..."
~~~~~
Prapai sighed, that was five years ago...
Prapai, now known as Mahasamut, looked around his "house".
It's just a room, really.
It was a small run down room but he didn't care.
After all, what would his wealth do when his most precious treasure is no longer with him?
What he had decided was to live the life that his love had once dreamed of.
To live by the sea, a simple life close to nature.
Mahasamut walked out of the room and towards the pier where Palm, a boy he had already adopted ever since he got on to the Island.
The people believed his story of having been chased out by his father at the age of fifteen, he lived a somewhat fulfilling life for the past five years now. He would do what Sky would have done, protect nature, protect the weak and help the ones in need.
His Sky was a breath of fresh air, like the clear skies after a long storm...
His monotonous life shone with color from the moment he met the young Sky...
He sighed once more and shook his head.
'Stop thinking of the past Mut, you will only miss him even more...'
Just as Mahasamut was about to board the boat, his cell phone pinged, signaling a new message.
He pulled it out of his pocket and saw that the message was from one of his regulars who is now a friend of his after he and his close friend Khom, became a couple.
Connor:
Hey Mahasamut, I've got a job for you.
Mut:
What is it, Khun Connor? As long as it pays well I'll take the job.
Connor:
It's a babysitting job though?
Mut:
Babysitting? Are you serious Khun?
Connor:
Well... More like you'll have to take care of a cat...
Mahasamut frowned upon reading the message. He thought for a moment before typing his reply.
Mut: (typing...)
I would like to turn down thi job-
Connor:
Here's a picture of it.
Connor:
Upon seeing the photo, it was as if Mahasamut's world stopped. He held his breath looking carefully at the image of a sleeping man. Not just any man... It was the very familiar image of his Love...
'Sky~' His heart whispered.
Connor:
So? What do you think?
Connor:
Think you can handle this kitten?
Connor:
Mahasamut?
Connor:
Are you still there?
Mut:
I am Khun. So when will he arrive?
Connor:
That's great! I've already booked his flight and arranged a yacht to take him there by the end of this week!
Mut:
Got it, anything I should be mindful of?
Connor:
Just be gentle with him, he may be a feisty Kitten but he's just so many things going on for him... And his name is Tongrak.
'Is my love suffering again? Who is hurting him? Should I investigate?'
'No, Mut, calm down... First, we have to meet him... Tongrak...'
Mahasamut finally boarded the boat and went on with his scheduled check on the reefs for that day.
For the whole duration of the week, Mahasamut found himself staring at the only photo he had of his love... Yes, it's technically not Sky, but he is almost 100% sure that Tongrak is Sky...
