Hana followed Namjoon down the hallway toward his office, her fingers entwined with his. It had been a long day, but there was something comforting about the way Namjoon’s presence seemed to anchor her amidst the chaos of her emotions. Ever since she had confessed her love for the boys, things had been different—warmer, more intimate. Each of the boys had made a concerted effort to show her just how much they cared for her, and Hana couldn’t help but feel cherished in a way she had never experienced before.
When they reached his office, Namjoon opened the door and guided her inside. The room was spacious, lined with shelves filled with books and documents, a testament to Namjoon’s intelligence and love for knowledge. His large desk was neatly organized, papers stacked in piles, and his laptop was open, waiting for him to begin his work.
He settled into his chair, but before he could say anything, Hana surprised him by climbing onto his lap, facing him. She looped her arms around his neck and rested her head against his chest, feeling the steady beat of his heart beneath her ear. Namjoon smiled down at her, his dimples making an appearance as he wrapped his arms around her waist, holding her close.
“You’re comfortable like this?” he asked softly, his voice laced with amusement.
Hana nodded, nestling closer. “Mm-hmm. I just want to be near you.”
Namjoon’s heart swelled at her words. It wasn’t often that he allowed himself to take a break from his responsibilities, but Hana’s presence made it easier to set aside the worries of the day. He kissed the top of her head gently, breathing in the sweet scent of her hair.
“If that’s what you want,” he murmured, his voice a soft rumble against her ear, “then I’m happy to oblige.”
As Namjoon began to work, Hana remained on his lap, occasionally lifting her head to watch him type or read through documents. Every so often, Namjoon would pause to kiss her hair, or whisper something sweet that made her smile. There was a tranquility to the moment that Hana found herself savoring. She had never imagined she could feel so safe, so at peace, in the arms of someone who had once seemed so intimidating.
They stayed like that for a while, the only sounds in the room being the soft clicking of Namjoon’s keyboard and the occasional rustling of papers. Hana closed her eyes, content to simply be with him, feeling the warmth of his body against hers.
However, their peaceful moment was soon interrupted by the sound of the office door creaking open. Hana turned her head to see Jungkook standing in the doorway, his arms crossed over his chest, a playful pout on his lips.
“Hyung,” Jungkook complained, “you’re hogging our girlfriend. It’s not fair.”
Namjoon chuckled, his arms tightening slightly around Hana as he kissed her temple. “She’s not an object, Jungkook. She’s perfectly capable of choosing who she wants to spend time with.”
Jungkook’s pout deepened, but there was a mischievous glint in his eyes. “But you’ve had her all day! I think it’s my turn now.”
Hana couldn’t help but giggle at the banter between the two. She looked up at Namjoon, her eyes twinkling with amusement. “Maybe we should let him have a turn,” she teased.
Namjoon sighed dramatically, feigning reluctance. “I suppose I can share,” he said, though his tone was affectionate.
With that, Jungkook stepped forward and gently took Hana’s hand, helping her off Namjoon’s lap. He grinned at Namjoon, clearly pleased with himself for winning this round.
“Come on, Hana,” Jungkook said, tugging her toward the door. “Let’s go do something fun.”
Hana glanced back at Namjoon, who gave her an encouraging nod. “I’ll finish up here and join you guys later,” he promised.
As Jungkook led Hana out of the office and down the hall, she couldn’t help but laugh at his excitement. He was like a puppy, eager and full of energy, and his enthusiasm was infectious.
“So, what are we doing?” Hana asked as they reached his room.
Jungkook opened the door and gestured for her to enter. “We’re going to play Mario Kart,” he announced, his eyes sparkling with excitement. “And I’m going to win, obviously.”
Hana raised an eyebrow, a competitive spark igniting in her own eyes. “Oh, is that so? We’ll see about that.”
They settled on the floor in front of Jungkook’s TV, controllers in hand. As the game loaded, Hana felt a sense of anticipation building. It had been a while since she had played a video game, and she was eager to show Jungkook that she wasn’t one to be underestimated.
The first race began, and it wasn’t long before the room was filled with the sounds of laughter, cheers, and playful taunts. Jungkook was surprisingly skilled, his fingers moving with lightning speed as he navigated the twists and turns of the course. But Hana wasn’t far behind, her determination fueling her as she closed the gap between them.
By the time Namjoon joined them, Hana and Jungkook were in the middle of a heated match. Namjoon couldn’t help but smile as he watched them squabble over who had the better strategy, their playful banter filling the room.
“You two seem to be having fun,” Namjoon remarked as he sat down beside them.
Jungkook grinned, his competitive spirit shining through. “Hana’s good, but I’m still going to win.”
“Don’t be so sure,” Hana shot back, her eyes narrowing as she focused on the screen.
Namjoon chuckled, enjoying the lighthearted atmosphere. He picked up a controller and joined in on the next race, adding to the friendly competition. The three of them laughed and teased each other, the tension of the day melting away as they immersed themselves in the game.
Despite their competitiveness, there was an undeniable sense of camaraderie that made the experience all the more enjoyable. They were a team, even if they were trying to outdo each other on the racetrack. And as the evening wore on, Hana couldn’t help but feel a deep sense of gratitude for the bond she shared with these incredible men.
In the end, it didn’t matter who won the most races. What mattered was the time they spent together, the laughter they shared, and the love that grew stronger with each passing day.
As they put the controllers down and the game came to an end, Hana found herself smiling as she looked between Namjoon and Jungkook. She had never imagined that her life would take such a turn, but now that she was here, she couldn’t imagine being anywhere else.
Namjoon, noticing the soft smile on her face, leaned in and kissed her gently on the forehead. “I’m glad you’re here with us, Hana,” he said quietly, his voice full of sincerity.
Jungkook nodded in agreement, his expression warm. “Me too. You make everything better.”
Hana blushed, her heart swelling with affection for them both. “I’m glad to be here,” she replied, her voice soft but full of emotion.
They spent the rest of the evening together, the three of them cuddled up on Jungkook’s bed, sharing stories and simply enjoying each other’s company. The warmth of their embrace and the love they shared made Hana feel like she was finally home. And as she drifted off to sleep that night, nestled between Namjoon and Jungkook, she knew that this was exactly where she belonged.
