It had been six years since the events on Driftmark transpired. Many things had changed throughout the years. The King grew ever more ill, and began looking more like a leper than a human. It was clear the old King had little time left to live, which complicated things.

Rhaelle had also come to learn that her sister had married their uncle, Daemon and they had two boys who she'd yet to meet.

To Rhaelle, it seemed everyone around her was being married. Although, Rhaelle herself hadn't been married off to her older brother. Funnily enough, Rhaelle had told her mother if she made Rhaelle wed Aemond she'd fly with Ghostfyre to Old Valyria, given her mother had recently learned of the story of Aerea Targaryen. So, she was relatively safe.

Over the years, Rhaelle had tried to contain contact with her nephews. She wrote to Jace often, but she really only garnered a reply once or twice a moon. It saddened her, but she realized her relationship with the Velaryon boys was practically gone.

She desperately missed the boys, but she knew that they might not want anything to do with her, given Lucerys took her brother's eye out.

News had spread around the Red Keep of Lord Corlys's serious injury in the Stepstones. With this news, the Seasnake's brother, Ser Vaemond had called for a meeting about Driftmark's line of succession.

Vaemond wished for the Driftwood throne to be passed to him, but, the Seasnake had wished for Lucerys to be his heir, though it was never publicly announced.

That called for her older sister to finally return to King's Landing. Rhaelle was excited at the news but also saddened.

When the family returned to King's Landing, Rhaelle wanted to put off her reunion with her nephews for as long as she possibly could, but the Gods had other plans.

For some reason, that morning, Aemond forced his sister to come with him to the training yard. Aemond spent a lot of his time there and he'd never pushed for Rhaelle to attend with him.

While Aemond sparred with Ser Criston, Rhaelle stood by and fidgeted with her light blue dress. She paid no mind to her surroundings, but little did she know her dreaded reunion with the Velaryon boys would come sooner than expected.

"Oh, seven hells." Jacaerys Velaryon's voice seemed disbelieving. "Luke, look."

Rhaelle didn't know the boy was pointing at her.
