The neon lights flickered outside, casting an ethereal glow through the tinted windows of the dimly lit warehouse. Shadows danced on the walls as Jasper leaned back in his chair, a cigar fixed between his fingers. The smoke curled into the air like a ghostly specter haunting his thoughts, merging with the tangible tension that riddled the room.
Vincent- C'mon, Jass, said him in his voice a low whisper, "We gotta focus." With a flick of his wrist, he pushed a stack of profiles across the table. Each document bore the names of women who were rumored to hold connections to families in rival factions. The stakes were high, and they both knew it.
Jasper raised an eyebrow, his sharp eyes scanning the profiles individually.
Jasper- "Focus on what exactly? This one's too pretty to risk. What if she attracts unwanted attention?" He flicked past a profile titled "CARMELA ROSSI " noting her picture, spirit like wildfire behind her soft smile.
Vincent-"You were all about taking risks when it came to that blonde at the club last week. Besides, it's not just about beauty; it's about pleasure. She could help you more as she indeed has a high body count he shrugged a hint of mischief in his voice.
Only half-listening, Jasper twisted his cigar between his fingers. He recalled the club, flashes of laughter, the clinking of glasses drowned in loud music, and that alluring blonde who had danced into his life as quickly as she had danced out. The world of shadows was always attractive, and he wasn't the sort to get too attached; there were too many faces in his line of work that could wear a mask of betrayal. He knew he always kept women for his pleasure but never gave them the authority of girlfriend haves.
Jasper- "Let's see the next one ", He sighed and said pushing aside his disruptive thoughts. The next profile read Lucia Martell known for her connections in the underground art scene, and with a face that could launch a thousand schemes.
Vincent -"Intriguing. She could be useful. But..." He paused,
Jasper - frowning, "What if she's just as dangerous?". She used to work for the Viper clan my rival.
Vincent -" Who cares, All u need is her body, " Vincent said, excitement creeping into his voice. He gestured to the stack.
Vincent - "This isn't a dating game, Jasper. We're in the mafia. Every play we make is a gamble, and those who don't take risks—"
Jasper- "Get buried," Jasper finished, recognizing that line too well. He leaned in, studying Lucia's profile with newfound interest.
Jasper- "She's still connected with Viper great though."
Vincent - "Exactly." Vincent leaned back, his expression pleased. He loved when Jasper was deep in thought, strategizing their next move.
Vincent - "And it's not like you have to marry her. Just make her your new no 1"
Jasper- it's not about making NO.1 or NO.5 even if they will be my toy its important to make sure my safety and my throne . I don't want any betraying shit around my kingdom .I need a girl who is till far not known with this freaking Mafia shit . Someone who will only be my NO.1 toy and nothing else ,"Right," Jasper replied, a smirk tugging at his lips, "no ties." But the smirk faded as he recalled the countless bodies that had crossed his path—a until now vibrant life reduced to ghosts in the alleys. This was his life, a concrete jungle where loyalty was as fragile as glass.
