Here is the first official chapter of my new story The Red Planet, I did however make a prequel which was posted earlier today. Thanks for the feedback and all the reads. This part of the story introduces a new threat and pay close attention to everything you read as there are some things that will follow on throughout the whole entire series I am writing. I have not yet decided if they will all feature the 5th Doctor, Tegan and Turlough. There are some links towards the Tennant and Smith era as well.
DISCLAIMER still stands and i forgot to mention that Plagerism is not allowed as I have worked months on this project ;)
The Doctor and Turlough opened the door to the base and entered through it. With a fist glimpse of moving objects, the security of the base took arms and pointed their guns and weapons at the incoming people, these were of course The Doctor and his companion. The Doctor started to talk to Turlough about how special Mars was in the universe and how there were hardly ever humans on the planet. They turned the corner and found they were surrounded by millions of guards.
"State your name, rank and intention!"
"I am The Doctor and this is Turlough, and if you are wanting to find out how we got here, I suggest you put your guns down. However if you are not interested in this piece of information then you might as well shoot us,"
"Take Aim!"
"Was that supposed to happen?" Turlough leaned over to The Doctor and whispered in his ear.
"No, This wasn't what I was expecting at all," The Doctor turned to face the man who had given the order to kill them. " The order to kill shows a sign of cowardness, don't you want to find out more about your intruders! Just as if you don't want us to interbeam in something, Well me and Turlough have a friend trapped outside in some rocks and if you kill us, you will kill her and according to my standards you dont like to be in the crossfire, do you? You get other people to do it! Well, we are here to help..."
"And............ Surrender" Ordered the Man as he walked slowly towards the intruders.
"You will follow, and your friend will stay here, and I wouldn't think of going back for your other friend if I was you,"
"Why not?" The Doctor quickly asked, taking note of what he had said.
"There are Marsain - things out there, wait, are you one of them?"
"I am not from Mars, and neither is Turlough," The Doctor added to that quick suggestion. "But I would like to know if you had met them before."
"Warriors roam all of the grounds and snatch people, they control the rocks and fill the air with dangerous gases," The Man gave a brief explanation of how the warriors worked, then started to send his troops forward, as a sign of growing impatient and wanting to move on.
"Doctor, Tegans out there," Turlough started to tread backwards very carefully, which caught The Doctors sight. The Doctor had noted Turloughs chance of escape and questioned one of the gards if they could go. His response was misfortunate to The Doctor and Turlough.
" Your friend will be dead, you will be walking into suicide."
The Doctor started to walk with the guards and left Turlough to explore the rest of the base on his own. A matter of minutes later, in The West Gate, Turlough fell over and crashed into a wall. He struggled to get back up as he held on tight to a metal pipe. He pulled hiself up and took a quick glance around. The room seemed to look like it had been completely abandoned for the past 50 years. He turned around and looked at the wall he was leaning on. It seemed to be some sort of map or a battleplan. He looked closely at the logo of the company that had designed the map and he knew he had seen it somewhere before. The logo was a capital G and an I next to it, in his language back on his planet that would translate to Great Intelligence. He walked to the desk and started to operate a high - tech computer. It scanned all of Mars and then shut itself down. The word ' TORCHWOOD' was popping up in an Error Box on the computers desktop. He walked across to some files and looked at the previous coworkers that had been in the base before the guards. All he could tell was that they were normal people and didnt have any importance. Then one file caught his eye as red tape was put across it. Some sort of code was printed across it. RYCBAR. Turlough didnt understand it, and he didnt need to but he had sworn to remember it, just in case The Doctor found its importance.
He started to head out of the West Gate but all of a sudden an explosion had taken place. It erased Turloughs memory of all he had just seen. The explosion had wrecked all of the bases defensives and filled the rooms with toxic gas. Turlough wobbled towards the exit but collapsed when he was right next to the door, where he and his friend had just came through earlier. The Doctor told the guards to cover their mouths and to follow him. he rushed back to where he had left Turlough, only to find his friends body, containing every disease known to mankind. Only one guard had followed The Doctors orders and it was The Head. He had noticed the state of matter Turlough was in and turned towards The Doctor.
"We must go, I need to find my other friend!" The Doctor quickly said to the guard.
"Not quite, because you see Doctor, I wasn't fully truthful to you, I am an agent of The Warriors..."
Tegan woke up in a labortory filled with piles of used medicine and bags of toxic gases. Before she had had the chance to examine the bags and the room she was in, a voice echoed into her ears.
"You have a friend who calls himself The Doctor, isn't that right? And don't bother lying to us, we have been ever so careful with your mind. Ever since you were seen on the grounds we brought you here and examined your latest history. We know everything about you, Tegan. We need your friend The Doctor, we have a man who needs urgent help, and once he is fully healed, we promise to kill The Doctor,"
"NO!" Tegan shouted in mid - air in frustration. She barged out of the door and started to run away. Once 50 yards from the base she started to feel a bit faint, she felt her skin and felt it bubble up and erode. She looked in a mirror and her skin was crumbly and flared up at the same time, she was filled with every toxic gas known to man.
"You will help us or we will do the same to your friends,"
"Who.........are........you?" Tegan managed to make out some words with hesitation and struggle. Her mouth started to swell up as she made out her last few words possible.
" Who........do.........you........work............................for?"
" Theres no harm in telling you, you won't remember it, we work for a great being who loves humanity and wants to care for them. We, Tegan, work for the GI."
