Clean Slate

     I'm tired, as always I was up at midnight doing my math homework. I always wait until the last second. I'm sitting up in my room until I hear my mom stomp up the stairs, "Gaia you've got mail!" she comes in my room. "Open it, open it!" My first thought, why is she so happy. "Oh, its a letter from a fancy rich private school... mom what is this?" She pauses, "Well, I got a call from that school last night, your being invited to go to a gifted boarding school in England!" My jaw dropped, she smiled "You said you wanted to go to a new school well here's your chance!" I shrug, "Mom I don't know..." She grabs my hand and squeezes it tightly. "Go, try it and if you don't like it you can call me and come back." I pause. "Fine, I'll do it for you." She smiles, "You'll like it, I think so." I smile back. "Yeah I'm sure I will."
     My mom kisses my forehead and I board the train. England isn't far from here, not by train atleast. "Hello, my name is Cheri, I will be your escort to the new school." She puts her hand out for me to shake it. "Oh, hello I'm Gaia I'm sure you already know that." She laughs, "So, there's a bathroom back there here's your uniform. When you come back we should be there." I no and go change. The uniform is a black skirt, a white shirt, a black blazer, and a black tie with a school loga on it. The logo is two swords crossing each other." I walk back and sit down. "Okay so I need you to hold my hand and close your eyes." She smiles and reaches out. "Oh uh, why?" I ask, "Just trust me and do it okay?" I nod and reach out. Suddenly I'm sitting on something else, grass. and it smells like flowers. I open my eyes. "What happened were are we?!" Cheri walks over to me and grabs my hand. "Don't freak out, it'll all make sense soon. "Don't freak out?! I'm freaking out, how did we do that? Where am I? What just happened?" I pull away from her and take a step back. "Listen it will all make sense soon, this is totally normal just try to stay calm and follow me." So I do. I'm sure there is a totally normal reason that I just teleported to a school that looks nothing like the reference photos by the way. Cheri leads me to an office. We walk in, "Hello Gaia, I am so happy you decided to join us, now you must have so many questions so sit and i'll answer as many as I can." I sit down, the person is an old man well in his 50's, he's wearing a formal black suit with a pin of the school logo on it. "Yeah I have so many, first someone needs to tell me what just happened and how I got here. " He sits up, "You did something we call Unopi Normiam. It teleports any student of Eden Academy straight to the school." He smiles, "Oh yeah sure so I think there might've been a gas leak or something because I am going crazy oh my god this is crazy!" He stands up, "I know this might seem... unreal right now but it is all true, don't worry it is only normal to act like this when faced with strange new things." He escorts me to the door of the office, "here is your dorm key all your things and school supplies will be in your room." Cheri grans my hand and walks me out. "Don't worry Gaia, just go with the flow, if you have a faith in yourself then you can do anything you desire." I nod and walk in my room. Its huge. One queen bed, a desk, a couple plants and a wardrobe. Its still hard taking this all in, what confuses me the most is why me? I never even seen this place before. Does my mom know? But she would never hide something like this from me. I don't think she would. They took my phone once I got here, will I be able to tell her? Or even see her again. I'm sure that this is all a wild dream so I'm just gonna go to sleep and wake up in my bed at my house where my mom is.
