I completly lose it. "Yes! Thats all you have to say? No explanation? How long has this been going on?"

Is she serious right now? "I need to calm down? I need to calm down! After all the shit you've pit me through you still dony have the decency to even tell me you were seeing someone! I come here to make sure u are still breathing, and you tell me you are engaged!" I look over at her fiance. "Do you know aboit everything she put me though? That all she is, is a wsshed out junkie? That she has been on drugs so long she cant even remember what being clean or sober feels like? Sure she has tried to get clean a few times; even checked into a few pricey rehabs, but it never worked. She always went right back to her fix."
He looks at me with kind eyes. "Yes, I know everything about her past, but that is just what it is; her past. She is really trying this time."
He is obviously very naive. "Yea, sure. Like I havent heard that before."
Then my mother begins to speak. "Honey, I know I havent made your life easy, and I knkw I tried before and failed; but tbis time is differant. I have Bill here to helpme. And to answer yoir question from earlier, we have been seeing each other for about six months. About a month after we started dating I checked into a out patent rehab. Im getting better, Alisa. I really am."
I really dont know what to say, and I tell her just that. "I just need some time to process all of this."
