Chapter 2

"Lunch is ready!"

Alya called out as she and Mari finished preparing their lunch not a moment later Nino and Emma ran in like they haven't eaten in days making the two besties chuckle at their antics. All the four along with the red kwami were having a fun conversation and eating. After lunch everyone went to the living room to watch a movie. Baby Emma wanted to watch Barbie: Princess and the Popstar.

All the four were enjoying their movie when they were interrupted by the doorbell in the middle of the movie. The bluenette paused the movie with a confused expression on her face " Who could that be?" Her question was met with a shrug from her friends. Little Emma, always curious, volunteered to open the door but Marinette was hesitant

"But mommy you're all here, if anything happens you can save me you're ladybug and I know it will be someone you know".

Tikki said that she'll accompany Emma to see who it was by hiding. Mari eventually agreed.

The little blond girl opened the door to a blond man with emerald eyes much like hers looking down at her with a shocked, confused and curious expression. Tikki on the other hand pretty much freaked out. She quietly got away without being noticed and rushed to inform the others about the unexpected visitor.

Adrien was surprised that the door was opened by a blond toddler with bright emerald eyes shimmering with curiosity and innocence who bore a striking resemblance to him. He was at loss for words but was brought back to reality by a pinch on his side. He winced in pain and managed out a "Uhh Hi..?".

"Hello there mister...?"

"Adrien Agreste and you are?"

"Emma Dupain-Cheng. Nice to meet you. How can I help?"

"Emma Dupain-Cheng!?"

Adrien was surprised to say the least and by the shifting in his pocket so was Plagg. The little girl simply nodded with an adorable face. She was so cute. Not the time Adrien...

"Umm.. I- I came to visit my frien-"

Before he could complete his sentence he was met by the sight of his friends running with a dumbstruck expression on their faces.

"ADRIEN!?"

The little girl looked confused "You know mister Adrien?" but the others were too surprised to answer her. Adrien however was happy to see them and smiled.

"Surprise!"

Nino was so happy to see his best bud again after years that he ran past them and gave the blond a big hug which Adrien happily returned. Alya too after the initial shock joined her fiancé in embracing her friend. After the hug Adrien looked at Marinette with a small smile and opened his arms to which she ran and embraced him with a few tears. Even though she loved Chat doesn't mean she didn't miss this stupid blondie.

All the while Emma was watching with a confused face not understanding what's happening or who the blond man was.

"Mommy, how do you know Mr. Adrien?"

"Well sweetie he is uhh our close friend"

More like my ex- boyfriend..Hearing her say 'Close friend' made both their hearts sting a bit but they brushed it off for the time being. The little toddler narrowed her eyes and looked to be in deep thought. When she was thinking, Adrien was having his own inner conflicts. Marinette has a daughter!? How? When? Who is the father!? And why does she look a lot like me?

"But if he's your close friend how come I haven't met him before? I've met all your friends"

This time Nino was the one to reply stating that he had to go to London a few years back and he's only just come back. Alya was awfully quiet and kept looking between Adrien and Emma, if one looked closer they could see the gears turning in her head.
