16. ʟᴏᴜᴘʜᴏʀɪᴀ

"Ok, that looks good." You said adding the last touch of lipgloss to your lips.

Ray mentioned how he wanted to skate so you didn't do too much to your appearance. Eventually after 30 mins of waiting you hear Esme going back and forth with someone at the door.

"That's why yo edges white." The person retorted back making Esme gasp and walk off to her room. You couldn't help but giggle at the remark.

"Hey Ray." You said walking up to the door. Rays eyes scanned you up and down taking in your appearance.

"You look beautiful." He said in awe. You looked away not knowing how to accept the compliment, muttering a quick shut up to him. All he could do was laugh at your nervousness.

"Mhm, let's go pretty girl." He said taking your hand. You did a quick 'cash, keys, camera' check before allowing him to lead you out of your apartment.

Some Time Later...

"Ray how far are we going." I said still holding up the camera watching as he did a couple tricks.

"You'll see when we get there beautiful." He responded quickly.

'This is when he kills me.' I said to myself accidentally laughing out loud making him turn back and side eye me. "Bombastic side eye."

"I heard that." He said back to me making me laugh some more. After some time Ray stopped and said we were here making me look around noticing our surroundings.

I took in the smell of the salty air, mixed with foods of the small businesses around us. I listened as the waves crashed gently amongst the sand and seagulls chirped fighting over whatever they have found in the sand.

"It's so pretty out here." I smiled looking out into the ocean. "I'm glad you think so. Let's sit in the sand." We kicked off our shoes not wanting them to get sandy and walked closer to the ocean finding a perfect spot to sit.

I sat in between Ray's legs quickly relaxing, staring into the moon. We sat quietly, saying a lot to each other, but with no words communicating. With Ray he was one of the few people you could sit in silence and not feel awkward with.

After some time I opened my camera using this opportunity as a good time to film. "Hi everyone, I'm Y/N, and I'm here with the famous Ray." I smiled at the camera and motioned it up to Ray.

"Hi everyone, I'm Ray and I'm here with the beautiful Y/N." He said back kissing the top of my head.

"Today, I will be asking questions as we are on this beautiful beach on this fine night." I turned the camera towards the ocean, making sure I get every ounce of the scenery.

I then moved off of Ray and held my camera to him ready to ask questions. He remained relaxed looking at me with low eyes waiting for words to come out of my mouth.

"So, my first question is why do you skate?" I asked steadying the camera making sure it was focused on him.

"Well, I would skating is my way of expressing myself. It's like art to me." He paused trying to find words. "Me and my little brother used to skate all the time. Until he passed, I was devastated when it first happened. Didn't touch my board in months after the fact." Ray's face filled with emotion when he started talking about his little brother.

"Eventually Fuckshit, which was surprising for me now that I look at it, came up to me and talked some sense into me."
