It had been a week of community work and cheer practice. Finally, it was Friday, which meant a free day. The boys had invited us for lunch, and that's why I was currently getting ready.
"I think Ryan's cute," Sophia said, making Emma and me turn our heads. "I saw this coming by the way you two got so comfortable this week," Emma said with confidence. I chuckled at her expression. "That's good; he seems like a genuine guy," I replied, turning to Sophia.
Sophia smiled, knowing we would be supportive of her relationships. "It would be funny if we all ended up in a relationship with all of them," Emma laughed as she opened the room door, revealing Macy, who had been knocking.
"Macy," I said, standing up from my vanity. "Hi, beautiful," Emma greeted her with a hug. "Hey," Sophia smiled.
Macy joined us by sitting on my bed as she did her makeup. "So, Macy, how's everyone?" Sophia asked.
"You are all really fun people to hang out with. I wish I'd known y'all earlier; maybe I wouldn't have been one of Brittney's victims," Macy said.
Macy had told us yesterday that Brittney had bullied her a lot when she joined cheer and the house. I hadn't noticed the bullying since the girls and I were always in our rooms or together.
"Well, if she tries it again, I'll bite her," Emma joked.
"And she's not joking," Sophia added. "But you have us now, and I don't tolerate BS."
"Lily will most likely find a better way to solve the problem because she hates us fighting," Emma said being right.
The girls and I continued to get ready, talking, dancing, and singing to the songs playing. I got a notification from Jackson, which I checked.
Jack🌺: You ready?
Lily🌼: Yes, we will be heading out in a few.
Jack🌺: Okay, you'll let me know when you guys are here!
I liked the message and told my friends that the boys were already at the café. We grabbed our purses and went to Emma's car. The car was filled with chatter from the girls; we mostly talked about clothes, politics, and myths.
The car eventually stopped in front of the campus café. We all got out and entered the busy café, spotting the boys by the window booth. As we walked towards them, they noticed us and stood up.
"Girls," Ryan greeted us. "My favorite people," Tyler said. Ethan and Jackson also greeted us. Jackson slid into the booth, and I sat next to him. He always had his hand around my shoulder when we were together.
His touch made my body tingle, yet I craved it all the time. It was a strange feeling to me since I had never felt this way with Mason.
"You look nice," Jackson said, making my heart flutter. "Thank you; you don't so look bad yourself," I smiled.
