Mi Familia: Ride or Die!

Part 2

(It's around two in the morning when Dom was woken up by a noise and a dog barking. He looks down at Letty and notices she's in a deep sleep. The noise sounds again and it sounds like something is knocking downstairs. On high alert now, she quickly but quietly taps Letty arm to wake her.)

Letty: Mmm Dom, I'm exhausted.

Dom: Baby wake up I heard something.

(At those words Letty eyes pop open and she's sitting up in bed.)

Letty: What?

(They hear another knock but it's louder this time.)

Dom: (puts a finger up) Shhh! I'll go see what it is. I need you to go get Bri.

Letty: Ok!

Dom: Be quiet! Don't scare him, just tell him what we taught him.

(Dom gets up and gets dressed as Letty does the same and they both head out the bedroom. Letty goes towards Bri room as Dom has his gun, going downstairs. Letty pushes her son room door open and makes her way over to him.)

Letty: Bri wake up sweetie.

Bri: Mom?

Letty: We have an unwanted guest. You know what to do.

Bri: Mom what???

Letty: Just do it and I will come back when it's safe ok.

Bri: (gets up) Promise?

Letty: Always baby, now go.

(She bends and kiss his head before she watches him go to the hiding place they built incase of emergencies. Once he was secured, Letty closes the door and grabs her gun that's hidden under the table in the hall. She goes downstairs to se her husband standing and her worst enemy on their sofa.)

Cipher : Now it's a party.

Letty: What is it you want?

(She gives Letty a look as she grunts in pain.)

Dom: Speak!

Cipher: I've meet the devil tonight! Honestly, I always thought it was me.

Letty: (shakes her head) Oh trust, you still are.

Cipher: So that was kind of a disappointment.

Letty: (points the gun at her) Cut the bullshit.

Dom: Before you booked out on my couch, you might want to explain why you're here?

Cipher: I'm here because the enemy of my enemy is you.

(In the distance they could hear sirens)

Letty: (fed up) Why the fuck are you here, and I'm not going to ask again.

Cipher: A war is coming. The sides are being chosen. And everyone you love will be destroyed.

Dom: (stands up) Who?

Cipher: His name is Dante Reyes, ring a bell?

Dom: Never meet him or heard of him.

Cipher: Well I guess you need to prepare. You and your team fucked with the wrong guy and he wants revenge. The devil is coming and he's going to take out everything and anyone in his way.

(There was a knock on their door and Letty goes to answer letting Mr. Nobody and his team in.)

Little Nobody: Where is she?

Letty: (points) There.

(He walks in and his team comes in and take Cipher in their custody. They load her in a van and drives off. Little Nobody comes to stand next to Dom as they watch the van leave until it's gone.)

Little Nobody: Lost six pints of blood. Normal person dies at four.

Dom: Where is she being taken?

Little Nobody: We're shipping her back to our black site.

Dom: She might not make it.

Little Nobody: But did her story check out?

Dom: We confirmed the shooting downtown, but her tech wasn't there. And whoever took it now has an electronic arsenal.

Little Nobody: Did you alert your people?

Dom: Yeah, Mia and Brian are safe. I tried to get in touch with Tej, Roman, Ramsey, and Han.

Little Nobody: No answer? Any idea where they might be?

Dom: In Rome, working for you.

Little Nobody: Dom, we don't....we don't have a mission in Rome.

Letty: It's a setup.

Little Nobody: Shit.

Dom: (looks at Letty) We're going to Rome.

Little Nobody: I'll set everything up, just meet me at the Jet in a few hours.

Dom: Got it!

(Little Nobody leaves out as he talks on the phone to get everything set up. Dom sigh as he closes the door, turning to see Letty giving him a distant look.)

Letty: When is this shit going to end.

Dom: Good question. I have no idea who this guy is and he's coming after my family.

Letty: Bri is asking questions.

Dom: I will take care of it.

Letty: (grabs his arm) We really need to think and come up with a plan that's not going to get anyone killed. We can't keep doing this when we have him to think about.

(He pulls her to him, burying his face in her neck.)

Dom: I know, and I promise this is going to be the last ride. Whoever this guy is, he's threatening my family and I'm not going to rest until it's over.

Letty: What we going to do with Bri?

Dom: I'm sending him with Mia and Brian. He's going to be safe with them. Mia will fly out tomorrow to pick him up.

Letty: I don't like leaving him.

Dom: I know me either. But we have to protect him and I have to protect my family.

(Letty nods before they go upstairs to check on Bri. Letty starts to pack his things as Dom sits next to him.)

Bri: You guys have to leave?

Dom: Yea, but just for a few days.

Bri: Why does this keep happening?

Dom: I don't know, but we will get to the bottom of this. Son you and I will finish that driving lesson. It's a promise.

Bri: (looks at his dad) No matter what happens.

Dom: (ruff his hair) I always keep my promises.

(Letty is stand looking at them.)

Letty: Bri you should get some sleep before we have to leave in the morning.

Bri: Can I sleep with you guys?

Letty: (smiles) Of course baby. Come on.

(Bri gets up and head to the bedroom with them following close behind. He slides in the middle of the bed and settles as they get on each side of him. Letty wraps an arm over him as she takes Dom hand in hers. Dom caress it as he looks from her to his son making a silent prayer.)
