I'm in my final year of music school I just gotten the most exciting news of my life my Music Professor inform the choir that we will be performing at the palace they are having a masquerade ball for the kings birthday which is next week friday and I will be the lead soloist I'm so excited I can't believe I'll be singing for the king I'm not a fan of the Royal family but I must admit king Wilhelm is hot his beauty is out of this world his eyes always so mesmerizing but also sad his smiles aways look so forced he always look so unhappy I wish I knew why hes like that I knew his brother died maybe thats why I wish I can make him smile like a real smile not that fake one what I'm saying he not even gay I don't even have a chance plus hes so out of my league he won't want someone like me anyways if he was like that I'm just a nobody from Bjärstad

I have been king for less than a year after the death of my older brother Erik 6 years ago my mothers mental health gotten worst she tried her best to keep it together until I graduated college but a few months before I graduated I got the call from my father and the Royal court I will have to take over for mom she needs time to take care of her self even tho I never wanted to be king matter of fact I never like being a prince I always wanted a normal life but my dream of having a normal life shattered 6 years ago when Erik died this job had always been his I never wanted this now I don't have a choice but to be the Royal court puppet now they want to throw this huge Masquerade Ball for my birthday because they want me to find a wife there will have alot of respectable ladies they have choose for me who they think are perfect to be Queen what they don't know is I don't even want a wife Why can't I rule without a wife? I'm not even straight I'm gay and have known I was into men about 3 years ago when I started noticing my roommate Ian in college and thought he was hot we did mess around a few times we never dated he said the Royal life is not for him he does not want to put a label on it he always treated me well hes still one of my closest friends we don't mess around anymore hes dating a wonderful guy who he loves and I'm happy for him the only people that knows I'm gay is my bestfriend Felice and Ian I have not even told my parents I know they will be mad cause they always care about there stupid reputation I have come to terms if they want me to marry a woman to produce royal heirs I will only ever marry Felice I have spoken to her about it she has agree she will do this for me so might as well marry my best friend than get stuck with someone that don't know me or who I don't even like. Felice is perfect for the role if I have too choose I'm so very grateful to have her
The ball is happening next friday on my birthday thank god Felice is attending so I won't be all alone its just one party what can go wrong ...
