A bright light hit Hardin's eyes.
"Damn. What's with the lights?" he muttered.
First problem: He had no idea where he was.
Second problem: He had a horrendous migraine.
On a positive note though, the girl seated next to him was seriously cute.
She had ebony colored hair. Her eyes were like the sky, blue. Hardin also noticed that she had no makeup on probably not to draw any attention. It wasn't working though. She was seriously pretty.

"Hi," the girl beamed. "How are you feeling?"

"Not okay," Hardin responded. "What is this place?"

"You are at the infirmary at Camp Half-Blood. I'm Aurora Sanchez, daughter of Aphrodite."

Hardin felt as if he had been hit by a hammer between his eyes.

The girl smiled. "You are at the infirmary at Camp Half-Blood. I'm Aurora Sanchez, daughter of Aphrodite. There, I said it again."

"Aphrodite?" Hardin asked clearly puzzled. "The goddess?"

Aurora's eyes widened. "You've lost your memory?"

Hardin shrugged. "You tell me."

Aurora got up and started pacing about the room. She looked panicky.
"No no no."

Hardin sat up straight. He couldn't understand what was going on.
"What the heck is going on here?"

Aurora still looked troubled, a hard frown fixed on her face. Her breaths came out in quick gasps. " I made a mistake. I made a horrible mistake." She turned to Hardin, remorseful. "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. I thought it would work. But I'm going to fix everything, I promise."

"FIX WHAT?!"Hardin asked incredulously.

Aurora sighed and gave Hardin a longing gaze. She sighed as she left the room leaving Hardin behind as bewildered as ever.
