The classroom in Heaven was literally glowing, no cap. Everything was dipped in this soft, golden light that bounced off the clouds and sparkled like stars had fallen into the room.
The sky wasn't just blue-it had this whole extra thing going on, like a pastel filter turned up to eleven. The entire space felt alive, like it was made of light itself.
Low-key, it was kinda overwhelming.Angels sat around in glowing chairs, their wings tucked neatly behind them, chatting in clusters.
It was pretty chill until the teacher's voice sliced through the heavenly calm like a viral TikTok trend."Alright, listen up," the teacher announced. "Today's the day.
You're all going down to Earth for your final test. And yes, it's about heartbreak."The angels let out a collective groan. Heartbreak? Seriously?"Ugh, do we have to?" one angel muttered, rolling their eyes. The teacher wasn't having it.
"Yes, you have to. It's the final step before you level up. Deal with it."Nara, lounging in her seat at the back, was only half-paying attention. She was too busy watching the light bounce off her wings. But when she heard her name, she snapped back to reality-or, whatever Heaven's version of reality was."Nara!" the teacher called out, pointing at her like she was about to get called on in class.Nara blinked, sitting up straight. "Huh? Why me? I didn't even say I wanted to go!"The teacher shot her a look that said don't even start. "You're going. You'll be one of the first."Nara's jaw dropped. "Wait, wait, wait-hold up. You're just gonna throw me out there like that? Without even asking? Free will? Ever heard of it?"The class chuckled. Nara's best friend, Lena, nudged her with a smirk. "Girl, just accept it. You know how this works.
"But Nara wasn't about to let it go that easily. "Nah, I'm not going out like that. Heartbreak? That's a whole trauma arc waiting to happen. I didn't sign up for this.
"The teacher sighed deeply, clearly done with Nara's attitude. "You're going, Nara. No more arguing. It's non-negotiable. End of story."Nara crossed her arms and slouched back in her chair, rolling her eyes for added drama.
"Fine. But if I get ghosted or something, I'm haunting all of y'all for eternity."The teacher just shook their head and moved on. Meanwhile, Nara shot a look at Lena, who was trying not to laugh. "This is so whack," Nara whispered. "I'm telling you, they're trying to set me up."Lena grinned. "Hey, at least you'll have stories when you get back.""Stories? More like a therapy bill," Nara muttered. She couldn't help but feel the dread creeping in. This wasn't just some assignment; this was going to get personal. Real personal. As the light in the room dimmed slightly, signaling the end of the lesson, Nara sighed, running her hand through her hair. "Well, guess it's time to get my heart shattered. Yay, me."
Nara descended from the heavens with a swirl of light, her majestic wings fluttering until they touched Earth. The moment her feet made contact with the ground, her wings vanished. She looked around, bewildered, "Huh? Where did my wings go? Did they drop somewhere?"A voice echoed in her mind, "You will not get your wings back until you complete your mission."Nara scowled, "Oh, really? Why do I have to? Just give me back my wings. This is so unnecessary!"The voice was firm, "The rules are the rules. You'll only get your wings when your mission is done.
"Nara sighed in frustration. "Fine. Whatever. Guess I have no choice."She glanced at her surroundings, trying to make sense of the strange world before her. Everything was wet-cars splashed through puddles, and the streets were drenched. Yet, Nara remained dry, her white dress and hair untouched by the downpour."Seriously, what is this?" she muttered, staring at the metal objects speeding by. "Is this what they call cars? Or bikes? I think I read about these in Heaven..."The lights above, flashing red and green, added to her confusion. She tapped the watch on her wrist, and a holographic screen appeared, visible only to her. Scanning the vehicles, she saw the word "Car" displayed in a language she didn't recognize."Whoa, this is so trippy," she said, scrolling through the data. "So these are cars... or bikes... or something. It's like those books, but way more intense."She watched the people moving around her, their hurried pace and worried expressions blending into the rainy scene. With her gadget scanning and translating the world around her, she started to get a grip on Earth's technology and culture.Sitting down on a nearby bench, she noticed a guy by the river. He was sitting alone, drenched, and seemed burdened by deep sadness. Despite the heavy rain and the negative energy emanating from him, Nara focused on her mission."Alright, Nara, time to get to work," she said, her resolve firm. "Let's figure out what's going on with him."
As Nara approached the guy by the river, she felt an odd, heavy energy surrounding him. It wasn't just the rain that was making the air feel thick-it was like dark, swirling shadows clinging to him. As she got closer, these black, smoky figures began to drift away. Her presence, full of positive vibes, was too much for them to handle.
"Whoa, what's with all this darkness?" Nara muttered. Her angelic aura seemed to repel the negative energy, clearing the area around the guy.
She was about to speak to him when he suddenly slumped forward, fainting. Nara's eyes widened. "Is he sleeping?" She remembered reading about sleep back in Heaven, but she wasn't sure if this was the same thing.
Nara tried shaking him gently, "Hey, wake up, na! Why is he sleeping here? Is he dumb or something?" Her kicks were soft, more like nudges, but he didn't stir.
Frustrated and confused, she tapped her watch, hoping for answers. The holographic display showed "Fainted," along with a warning that said, "Emergency. Bring him to the hospital."
"Huh? What's a hospital?" Nara wondered aloud. She had no clue about hospitals or what to do in emergencies. The watch showed an image of someone being carried in a wheelchair and an ambulance being called.
"Alright, watch, how do I get him to the hospital?" Nara asked, feeling overwhelmed. The watch displayed an image of someone calling an ambulance, but Nara didn't know how to do that.
The watch then directed her to pick up the phone the guy had dropped. Nara hesitated but managed to grab it. Using her angelic power, she dialed the ambulance without touching any numbers. The call connected, and Nara was left holding the phone, unsure of what to say.
She glanced at the watch, which gave her a prompt, "Say you need help urgently." Nara tried to follow the instructions, and the ambulance dispatcher replied, "Okay, we'll be there shortly. Thank you."
As she was about to leave, Nara felt a pang of unease. The guy stirred and caught a glimpse of her white dress and glowing hair. Panicking, she realized she needed to move him but wasn't sure how.
Seeing a nearby bus station about fifteen feet away, she decided to use her powers. Nara paused time, but since she touched the guy, he remained unaffected by the time freeze. She carefully dragged him by the hand, his body shifting awkwardly as she moved him. He groaned and shifted uncomfortably, but she managed to get him to the bus station and lay him down.
As she was about to leave, the guy caught a brief look at her angelic figure before nara waked away .
