intro.

welcome to you can be a hero - a roleplay based on the anime 'my hero academia.'

but wait! this isn't your typical mha roleplay, because this takes place fifteen years after the ending of the manga and focuses on the next generation of heroes. all of our favorite characters pay taxes and save lives, and it's time for a new generation of heroes-in-training to walk through the doors of ua high school.

this has a bit of a strange format. rather than your character just roleplaying with my character, this will be more like a public forum, wherein anyone who has joined the roleplay may respond to you. there won't be a big focus on romance, intead focusing on developing authentic relationships between characters. (does that make sense? i struggle to explain things sometimes.)

now that we have the basic gist of things out of the way, onto the rules.

one. your character does not exist in a void. everything that happens in the roleplay is canon to your character. for example, if write a thread where your oc gets a scar, they are going to have a scar from here on.

two. your character cannot be the child of already existing characters. there are no canonical relationships at the end of my hero academia and i'd rather just avoid making any ships canon here either. sorry if you wanted to be bakugou's daughter.

three. i'm hesitant to make this a rule because i know most will be put off by it, but i use japanese honorifics in anime roleplays. it was a rule on a clannad rp forum i was active on for a while and it's a habit now. you don't have to, but it would be appreciated.

four. your character face claim must come from an anime, manga or visual novel. you cannot use the same face claim as another person. (one of the chapters will be a roster of all current characters + taken face claims.)

five. all roleplays are open to anyone by default. if you have a plot designated for a specific person, please write "closed // @/player's username" at the top of the thread.

six. the password is to tag two people who you think might be interested in this roleplay.

seven. not a rule, but just to be clear: this takes place fifteen years later before the eight year timeskip. so i guess technically it takes place seven years later.

eight. there is a limit to how many characters can be in a certain class. i don't think this will be an issue because i don't think that many people will join, but just to be clear: only twenty ocs can be in a class. if 1-A is filled up and you want to be a hero course student, you're in 1-B by default.

nine. please write well. this is meant to be a literate roleplay, so there is an expection that there will be little, if any, grammar errors and that all writing will be of a decent length. one - liners are not allowed. you should write at least a paragraph.

that's all !! i will add more rules if i think of any, but this seems to cover all of the important stuff. and i feel like the obvious "be respectful, don't start drama, etc." should go without saying.
