The hum of the TVA Headquarters buzzed around you as you stood with Logan by your side, still reeling from the events that had unfolded in that other universe. The stark contrast between the pristine, sterile environment of the TVA and the hellish scene you had just escaped was almost too much to process. Your heart was still pounding in your chest, the adrenaline from your encounter with Logan, and the rush of the journey here, thrumming through your veins.

Logan, still shirtless and bruised from his time crucified on the cross, looked around warily, his muscles tense. His instincts were on high alert, like a caged animal unsure of its surroundings. You could feel the tension in him, a raw, barely contained energy that made you want to soothe him, but you knew this place was anything but safe.

"Where the hell are we?" he muttered, his voice rough with exhaustion and the lingering pain from his ordeal. His eyes darted around, taking in the rows of monitors, the agents bustling about, and the overwhelming strangeness of it all.

Deadpool, still holding the TVA remote with a smug grin, was the first to break the silence. "Welcome to the Time Variance Authority or TVA, for short! The magical land of paperwork, soul-crushing bureaucracy, and—" he leaned in conspiratorially, "—people who seriously need to get laid." He shot you a wink, completely oblivious to the gravity of the situation.

Logan's eyes flicked between you and Deadpool, his expression one of confusion and irritation. He was still processing the whirlwind of events, and the nonchalance of Deadpool did nothing to ease his unease.

As you turned your head, the harsh fluorescent lights overhead reflecting off the smooth, polished floors, you were met with a sight that made your breath catch. There, standing in the middle of the corridor, was another Wolverine. He looked almost identical to the one beside you, but there were differences—subtle ones. He had the X-men suit on. His hair was slightly shorter, his eyes a shade lighter, and his stance less burdened, less haunted by the weight of what your Logan endured.

This Wolverine was the one Deadpool had found to replace the fallen Logan in your original universe.

Your Logan—your Logan, you realized with a pang—growled low in his throat, his gaze narrowing on the other version of himself. There was an unspoken challenge there, an instinctual reaction, as if the presence of another Wolverine was an affront to his very existence.

The other Wolverine, however, simply regarded your Logan with a cool, assessing look, his hands clenched into fists at his sides. Neither spoke, but the tension between them was palpable, an electric charge that made the hair on the back of your neck stand on end.

Before anything could escalate, the echoing sound of footsteps and the shuffling of TVA agents signaled the arrival of someone who clearly had authority. Mr. Paradox, the TVA agent, strode into view with an air of controlled irritation. His sharp eyes scanned the scene, taking in Deadpool, Logan, and the chaotic aftermath of the stolen TVA remote.

"Deadpool!" Mr. Paradox's voice was stern, each syllable dripping with disdain. "You've managed to make a mess of things once again. What do you think you're playing at, using TVA technology for your own ends?"

Deadpool's grin faltered slightly, but he quickly regained his composure. "Hey, Paradox! Just taking a little detour to get the best Wolverine for my mission. You know, saving my universe and all that."

Mr. Paradox's eyes narrowed. "You're not authorized to conduct such operations. And this—" he gestured at your Logan, "—is not the Wolverine you need. The one you've brought back is a variant, and not a particularly useful one at that."

"But he's not just a variant," you argued, feeling a surge of protectiveness. "He's been through hell, and he deserves a chance. I couldn't just leave him there. He's important to me."

Your Logan, the one who had endured the cross, growled low in agreement, his voice rough. "She saved me. I'm not going back to that hell."

Mr. Paradox's eyes narrowed as he scrutinized you, ignoring your Logan. "Important to you? That's an interesting choice of words. You're aware that this Logan is not the one you both were originally seeking. His situation has created a significant complication, and the TVA does not take kindly to unauthorized operations."

You took a deep breath, struggling to keep your composure. "I understand the gravity of the situation. But please, consider this—he's not just any variant. He's someone who's endured unimaginable suffering, and he needs our help. I've worked with the TVA before, and I'm asking for a chance to make things right. We're willing to contribute and be of use. Just give us the opportunity."

Mr. Paradox's gaze was calculating, as if weighing your words against the strict regulations he was bound to uphold. "You make a compelling argument. However, rules are rules, and deviations from protocol have consequences. I'll need to deliberate on this."

"Mr. Paradox, please," you pressed, your voice firm but pleading. "We both know the TVA can accommodate exceptional circumstances. I promise we'll follow the rules and prove our worth. Just give us a chance to show that we can be valuable assets here."

Mr. Paradox seemed to consider this for a moment, his eyes scanning you and Logan with a mix of skepticism and contemplation. "Very well. Given your history and the skills you've demonstrated, I'm willing to offer you and your Wolverine a position within the TVA. You will join us as agents and assist with our operations. But remember, this is a privilege, not a right. You will be under strict scrutiny, and any further violations will be dealt with severely."

A flicker of relief crossed your face. "Thank you, Mr. Paradox. We won't let you down."

As you and Logan began to settle into your new roles, Deadpool seemed to perk up with a new sense of purpose. "Alright, mission time! I'm off to save my universe with my Wolverine. We've got a universe to fix!"

Mr. Paradox's expression darkened. "Actually, Deadpool, you've made a mess of things and broken TVA protocols. I can't let you continue this way."

Without warning, Mr. Paradox activated the prune stick. Before anyone could react, Deadpool and his Wolverine were pruned from existence, sent to the Void.

"What the fu-?!" Deadpool's voice echoed with disbelief and frustration as he disappeared.

They disappeared to the Void, leaving you and Logan standing in stunned silence. You turned to Mr. Paradox, anger and worry flashing in your eyes. "What have you done? He's my friend, and you just sent him away!"

Mr. Paradox's gaze was cold and unyielding. "I warned you about interfering with TVA operations. Your friend's actions were unacceptable, and he had to face the consequences. If you attempt to cause further disruptions, you will be next."

You clenched your fists, struggling to control your rising fury. "You can't just—"

"Enough!" Mr. Paradox's voice cut through your protest. "You will follow the rules and adhere to the TVA's regulations. Any further disobedience will be met with severe repercussions."

With a wave of his hand, he summoned TVA agents who quickly approached. "Get them cleaned up and settled into their quarters," he ordered. "And ensure they're properly briefed on their new roles."

The agents nodded and moved to assist you and Logan, guiding you to a more secure area of the TVA Headquarters. As you walked, your mind was a whirl of emotions. You were relieved to have found your Wolverine, but the loss of Deadpool and the harshness of Mr. Paradox's actions weighed heavily on you.

Logan, sensing your distress, placed a comforting hand on your shoulder. "We'll figure this out. We've faced worse."

You nodded, grateful for his support. "Yes, we will. I just hope Wade is okay. Let's just focus on our new roles and getting you settled."

The TVA agents led you to a room where you could freshen up and regroup. As you washed away the grime of your recent adventures, your thoughts were consumed with worry for Deadpool and the future that lay ahead. Despite the challenges and uncertainties, you were determined to make the best of your situation and ensure that you and Logan would find a way to navigate the complexities of the TVA.
