The rain that falls

Shouta was tried but when wasn't he . Patrol tonight was going to be rough. Rain was going to be out .

His phone buzzed in his pocket. Not bothered to look at it, he opened the window and stepped out. Rain intently drenched him.

This patrol was starting on the wrong foot.

  Rain was bored. Was Eraser ever going to show? It was now midnight ,Deciding he was done waiting , he leaned back and jumped to the next roof over.

He had been out for about an hour or two now with nothing exciting happening.

Thunder rumbled above,rain poured harder downwards , when rain heard the scream .
Their head moved swiftly toward the sound .
The scream came again so he ran . After running over a handful of houses, he could finally pinpoint the exact location of the scream.

Looking down , there was a woman and a man . The man was holding the woman against the alley wall with a knife to her throat. Said woman had her hands on the man's arm that had the knife.

His hand reached Back to his pocket in hopes that his phone was there. His eyes widened when  he remembered that he left it at home to charge

Shit . Now what am I going to do? I need to call eraserhead. I can't do this alone .
I could try..... No, that's a bad idea.

Something sharp wiped past his left cheek leaving a small spot that hurt.

"I know someone's up there !" The deep voice of the man yelled .

Jumping off the roof he landed on the alley floor.
The man had on a suit , maybe a businessman? Or just a villain that dressed fancy? He wasn't sure.

"Who are you" standing back up rain answered him

"Rain"

Shouta had stopped on an apartment building roof to have his mid patrol break. He thought it was weird that rain hadn't shown considering it had been rainy for a good two-ish hours .
He was honestly starting to get worried that something happened to the vigilante

Pulling out his phone shouta opened his and rains chat

Eraser: haven't seen you tonight

Eraser: rain answer me

Shouta heard a scream, it  sounded close to him . Quickly putting the phone in his pocket he ran towards the vague direction the scream came from.

When he reached the alley , he froze at the sight.
Rain was lying on the ground with a large man standing over him.

His capture weapon shot out to wrap around the man's arm and waste.

"Hey!" Man shouted

Jumped down, Shouta  tightened the bindings on his scarf. Looking down there was a child lying unconscious . He bent down, eyes wide in recognition, it was rain?! Quickly he  put his hand on rains pulse point .

Shouta sighed in relief when he felt rains pulse , it was weak but there. Their breathing was sortea  labored . That was no good.
Pulling out his phone , he dialed the police .

When the police arrived they took the man away. This gave shouta the chance to force on his kid...
No he was just a kid,  who happened to be rain.

The sirens and all the commotion must have awakened him because rain was now beginning not to be taken to a hospital.

"Kid" shouta tried to get the kid to listen to what he had to say.

"No I won't go , not to a hospital !" Rain sobbed.

Rain was losing a lot of blood at the large gash on their side. They needed medical attention.

"Rain you're losing a lot of blood, if we don't get you somewhere that can help you, you will die"  Shouta placed a hand on their head to try and comfort . He just needed to get through rain's  stubbornness.

"I'll even talk you to UA so that recovery girl can heal you." At that there crying started to slow.

"W-will she leave my mask on?" They asked oh so painfully hopeful.

Shouta sighed , a small sad smile  formed on his face .

"Yeah kid, she will" he carefully pulled the kid into his lap and ran his fingers through their hair.

"Fine as .. long as my mask stays." Rain finally caved. They also leaned into his hand.

Shouta quickly and carefully lifted rain, hand still in the kids hair. He walked over to Tsukauchi's cop car.

"Tsukauchi, can you drive us to UA?" Said man jumped and tired in surprise.

"Oh Eraserhead. Uhh... Sure ya I can drive you to ..."  he trailed off, seeming to forget what Aizawa asked.

"Drive us to UA." Shouta deadpans, sum what irritated at having to repeat himself.

"Ah yes , of course I can"

Shouta opened the back door and set rain inside. Once they are all situated Tsukauchi started to drive.
